Dasca question - purchase and use timing

I need to disclose any illegal use and can't figure out if I did anything wrong. Was hoping I could get some clarity.

I purchased compounds listed in dasca before the law went into effect (December '14). But I used them after the law went into effect (jan-March '15).

My purchase is obviously legal. Was the use ok? Does the fact that I had them before it was illegal make it ok or is that totally irrelevant?
