Man, I cant blame the old woman...

It is shameful how we treat the elderly in America. Thats all I want to say on this subject. It makes me ill.

Damn, I didnt make the law, just posting something I saw. JK, it is kinda messed up. I am in near the same boat as some of them. I got hurt while serving in Iraq and only get 550$ a month and cant work a real job. 550$ a month dont get you ****.

We aren't attacking you, thanks for the link.
we're just saying that its fucked up to arrest an elderly person for tying to survive on the money we give them.

you know a grandma and grandpa would not be eager to sell "youngins" drugs. Its there last resort because they're going to starve....... They're all ready on deaths door, now cops are just giving them a shove.

^^ the sad truth right there. Sad that SS is so weak AND sad that people have begun to rely on SS later in their life, sort of as if it was a retirement plan--definitely not the purpose of SS.

Completely agree with this. Some people are in this situation because they decided not to save for retirement and instead rely on social security. Im not saying everyone new social security was going to be this bad, but it social security in general is a poor idea in the first place. I was all for privatization of social security.
 
We need to keep in mind the housewives who ran the house while hubby was away at work ...some of these women did not pay enough in to recieve anything...

There is always going to be exceptions.
