Is there some nootropic product I can use daily? I'm thinking about Nootropicmax and Focus XT. I currently take half scoop of Stimmax, but it's hard to handle alpha yo side effects even at this amount. Your suggestions?

Focus XT is absolutely a solid choice and the one I myself use. Some days i use the non caffeine version if my PWO that day has been particularly stimmed.

Focus XT is my choice as well. And I'm the as MrMuscle said above, some days I use the stim version and some days I use stim free just depending on how I'm feeling and what other stims I've taken in that day.

Semax + selank, or just semax alone. Nootropic is really a broad spectrum word bro. Lots of different mechanisms of action and it's really dependant on what you want/need.

Semax is one of the best if not the best overall nootropic in my opinion. But like you said it really depends on what you are looking for.

Yeah, it's a good all rounder that actually does something. Without knowing what he wants and what suits him ... I guess that's the default answer lawl

I suffer from ADHD but in my country (Russia) all medication is illegal. So Nootropimax was the best thing I could get which helped with focus, motivation, anxiety and anhedonia. So I'm looking for something like this

I have very bad ADHD myself and that's why I suggested Focus XT because it helps me with that a lot.

I have never tried Semax that they're discussing as its a drug, not a supplement, so I can't comment on that one.

I am honestly not sure which retailers ship to Russia.

In the UK/EU, Predator and Powermyself come to mind.

US retailers that ship internationally that I can think of would be Strong Supplement Shop and Best Price Nutrition.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Semax is actually a russian drug used for depression and if you are actually situated in russia you are in luck because semax (the original, pharma grade one) is sold only from russia. It's readily available at nootropic sites like cosmicnotropic which ship from russia. Also, have a google search for semax adhd.

For adhd dopaminergic drugs are best though (if your problem is dopamine and not cholinergic system or something entirely else like ptsd anxiety or whatever) but semax does one good thing, it potentiates the effect of all stimulants which means you can lower the dosages.

One easy thing to try though, for the cholinergic system is berberine.

I tried local pharmacy semax and selank, didn't feel any change, but many people say it's great. It affects BDNF as I know, as for dopamine, gotta make some research. Sounds interesting

It's nasal spray. I used it several times, its BDNF action I found similar to Lion's Mane. But it didn't help me with focus and motivation at all

I’ve seen it at a few dot coms but not sure where to get it at. I’m looking for something to help with social anxiety. I’ve got a new position at work and I will be doing some speaking and that makes me nervous just thinking about it

Something that helps me with social anxiety the most is Nootropimax (by performax). It was the only thing that helped me for a long time (don't know which ingredient caused it though)
Selank is another peptide similar to Semax which has strong anxiolytic effect. And "Stress and Anxiety" by SNS is also a great option for that.
I also suffer from heavy social anxiety most of the time and tried almost everything. Supplements which increase serotonin and reduce cortisol work best for me.

Something that does works great for focus and some anxiety is Flmodafinil but it’s pretty expensive. I take it to play golf. It removes all the distractions around me but keeps me mentally sharp. Only problem is the price and I’ve got to take it no later than 8am or I won’t sleep that night. I have some slight ADHD but Kratom at a low dose helps with that.

Did you try racetams? Phenylpiracetam was a godsend for my ADHD at that point. Not only it helped me with focus and energy, but also made a social butterfly. I didn't try modafinil and kratom because they're illegal in my country, but I have no doubt it helps

Yes I actually have phenylpiracetam on hand. I like it as a stim/motivator but doesn’t seem to do much in the focus or anxiety area. I like adding it to my PWO. It’s a great supplement

Did you try long term? There are some nootropics that offer good acute experiences, but when dealing with neuro transmitter systems in the brain, and neurons, most benefits will be noticed long term with most products. I don’t know too much about semax and Selank though.

endoamp max by iconic formulations has treated me well for a long time-going on 2 years actually. code THEBIGT saves 20% at iconic formulations.

around 5 days ago i started black magic supply-brain waves, so far i really like it although like @ValiantThor08 says several of the ingredients need time for benefits to be noticed.

Most companies suggest frequent breaks from DMHA products or not daily use of them to begin with (example - them being in pre-workouts). Plus, a lot of people say they develop a tolerance to it DMHA very quickly.

I avoid DMHA personally bc I don't get the energy from DMHA that some people do but yet I still get a tired crash type feeling a few hours later. It's weird - its like a crash without a benefit haha.

I think its one of those ingredients in general where there is a lot of individual response with in that some people love it, some people hate it, and some people get nothing off of it one way or the other.

Have you tried CBG? That is the cannabinoid for anxiety, not CBD. Also, look into inositol and emoxypine. Far more effective than Semax in my experience.
I have not brother...but I'll look into it.

I did use 1ml of the Apex Alchemy "Relax" CBD product post workout today. My mood has been really good, and I haven't needed an ativan. @nostrum420 (y)

Tried nasal spray Noopept and didn’t notice anything. Also tried Semax drops and that was kindof interesting. Immediate ‘peppy’ feeling but didn’t notice much in terms of memory improvement. I ran it for about 2-3 weeks before a big exam

Thank you for reply and experience of deprenyl in another thread. Deprenyl is a serious pharmaceutical drug an MAOIB mainly.

Meaning it inhibits the mono amide oxide, the enzyme that breaks down your neurotransmitter.
I read up and read that deprenyl or selegline maybe the actual drug is called inhibits the breakdown of dopamine.

Many sources seem to believe that the dopamine system is affected in ADHD symptons.
The dopamine gives us motivation and gets us up an going and makes us alert.

Taking any stimulant even caffeine will increase the output of dopamine and I havn´t tried but something like abuser amounts of methamphetamine leads to extremely high levels of dopamine which are felt as pleasurable and thats why its so addictive.
White sugar even more than many stims gives you such a quick rush and dopamine although it is very short lasting.
Stims though when you flood the system its a risk you will develop tolerance and if very high doses I read somewhere even new dopamine receptors will be created and after if those are not filled.
Anyhow in one way or the other dopamine system risk and will get more or less depleted with stims although in the best case we only use just enough and have time to recover.

Selegline instead of flooding the system with dopamine it inhibits the enzyme that breaks it down so it works on a more indirect pathway and it sounds logical to me. Sometimes I drink a bit of passionflower tea. It is not very strong but it is mildly relaxing and mood enhancing.
Selegline is most commonly given for alzeheimer but older clinical use has shown that it has worked great for some people with depression.
On some sights it is even sold as a cognitive enhancer and as you kisaj said longevity.

I asked my regular doctor about but he could not prescribe it as I want it for depression and ADHD and not Parkinson that its primarily for.
I have contacted the pshyciatric ward but they normally take a really long time to respond and often a month or maybe two to even get to see a specialist doctor.
We have amazing system with government insurance making medical treatment affordable but they don´t have much staff and waiting is very long and not great service , and as in most countries private psychiatric specialists are very expensive.

But the the theory about selegline is very interesting , but it is something to be careful about as it can lead to interactions with tyramine rich foods and probably stimulants as other drugs and I think psychedelics would be much enhanced by MAOI.
Hopefully some specialist will consider to prescribe it.
Kisaj, do you get it prescribed or do you buy it yourself? I think I saw it for sale online in th U.S but recommend anybody to be very careful with this even though I think it seems promising

If you're looking for an all in one, I recently tried Ninja Limitless and I'm enjoying. Evomuse Clearedge was my favorite but it never restocks.
4-dma-7,8-dhf is one I've been really enjoying lately.

It's interesting a lot of these are sold as pharmaceuticals in russia.

Emoxypine looks incredible on paper, with a whole host of benefits. Overwhelming amount of praise for it with a few non responders here and there. It almost seems too good to be true (considering price as well). I'm assuming it's non habit forming - No dependency or any tolerance developed with continued use?

I haven't had any luck with it unfortunately. I've been taking 250mg when trying to replace a Kratom dose while tapering and it doesn't quite scratch the restless/irritability/general discomfort. (Klonopin however, covers me but I don't want to deal with benzo withdrawals so I'm scared to use it more than a single day.

Next step is to try and take it night of drinking before bed and see if it helps hangovers. I don't drink much anymore so I forget to try it.

That’s unfortunate, it looks like it have other benefits like positive effects on cholesterol among some other things so it won’t be a complete waste to take it even if it doesn’t help with focus. Hopefully I have better luck than you but keep me updated how it goes for you.

Empxypine made a huge difference in my cholesterol numbers, I was actually pretty astonished. With no other changes my overall ratio improved and my tris lowered by almost 40pts. Not to mention the decreased desire to have a drink. It will forever be a staple.

Regarding the skipped doses for kratom- it won't have much affect there. You should be looking at black seed extract- preferrably the 10% thymoquinone version. I assume you already take magnesium for the RLS?

I've heard of Focus Factor since a kid, thinking about giving it a try. Is it ok to take a nootropic blend along with other individual vitamins?

Also, has anyone heard of Nuven Naturals Brain Support? They are low priced and seems good.

I hadn’t heard of that one, I had to look it up. Doses are pretty low and the herbs aren’t standardized, doesn’t look worth it to me.

Yeah standardization is weird to wrap your head around at first, but makes sense if you think about it. Herbs are just plants. You can think about it similar to other nutrients. You could eat spinach to try to get more potassium or vitamin K or something. Spinach is like 1% potassium by weight or something. If you eat 100 grams of spinach, you’d get 1 gram of potassium. I made these numbers up by the way. So what happens, is some people want the potassium, but don’t want to eat spinach. So a company could use the spinach leaves, get rid of excess plant material like water and fiber, and you’d end up with a higher amount of potassium for the amount of spinach. So if they remove 90 grams of plant material, you’d still have 10 grams. This would be like if you see something that is a 10:1 extract. If you still have that 1 gram of potassium, then by weight, instead of 1%, your extract is now “standardized” to 10%. You get more of the active ingredient you were looking for and less of the plant material.

It’s different for different plants. You can see a lot of things like maca root 4:1 or tongkat ali 100:1, which is good, in theory. You should have more actives, but you don’t necessarily know. Also, the amounts can change from batch to batch, so you may not get the same effect. So in the example of tongkat ali, you’d want to look for something with 1% or so of eurycomanone, which is the active responsible for the effects.

For nootropic formulas, you can see all kinds of herbs, ginkgo, bacopa, rhodiola, ashwagandha… it’s much better to find something that lists actives. Rhodiola is usually standardized to rosavins, but some people are finding that salidrosides are better for what they want. So you’d have to keep an eye on the extract for the effect you want. Or if you try one and it doesn’t work how you want, you might need a different one. Bacopa should be standardized for bacosides, ashwagandha for withanolides, there’s a lot. Honestly, it’s best to just keep reading, I’m not even scratching the surface!
