Cutting question

I am currently 5'11 weigh 190 and I'm somewhere around 18-20% bf. I have been lifting for a couple years and tried cutting before a couple times but always lost a lot of muscle and would end up around 155 still nowhere near happy with my appearance. I've tried various different macro splits and various different amounts of calories. I always weigh my food and measure everything with accuracy.

Turns out that my testosterone levels were always very low, last measurements were around 180. I have just recently started test cyp at 140 mg a week and already notice many improvements at a month in. My question is, now that my test levels are high will it make it easier to hold muscle mass while cutting? My peak levels the day after the shot is just below 1400 and my low is 730 the day of next shot. with levels in this range would I be able to drop cals a bit lower than usual and still retain muscle as long as protein is kept high?
 
Yes, higher test levels will help maintain muscle while cutting.
You can also keep protein very high as well.
Its possible while using Test, to gain muscle and lose fat, but that will take work with the right diet and training.
 
Thanks vujade. Honestly I am trying to drop as much bf as quick as possible. Have a vacation coming up and after I would like to do a bulk and up my test dosage to 500 mg a week but I want to shed this extra fat first so I can start the bulk from a clean slate.

I was looking at psmf but that looks pretty intense. I don't do well with no carbs but I'd be willing to give it a shot if it will work fast while the test preserves muscle. If not psmf then I will probably cut cals down to 1700 or so and get 180-200 grams protein and cycle carbs and fats depending on activity that day. I am just a bit hesitant going that low on cals out of fear that I will lose a bunch of muscle like during my previous attempts at cutting.
 
Yep when cutting i pretty much up my protein intake carbs are lowered fats stay where they were at for me and then increase in cardio. I also watch sodium intake and water.
 
That's what I'm gonna try LeanEngineer, thanks. Also, as far as building muscle and losing fat at the same time while on test, how is that done? And would it be possible on such a low dose? I'm only taking 140 mg per week right now.
