When I was on my feet all day, I couldn’t break 255 unless I was eating 400-500 grams a day. But at my job now at a desk, at almost 40, I don’t even touch them unless it’s 4 hours from workout time and post workout. However, I’m just leaning up for summer and want to lower bf. I start a 1 year bulk in September to hopefully do my first MP show in 2020, and carbs will be necessary for my tall a$$ to get up to 265+. I just started incorporating MCT oil recently and am enjoying its effects. It’s all trial and error. That’s why I don’t really understand all the younger guys jumping on gear when they haven’t really figured out the training/nutrition factors that work best for them. I feel it takes 5 years to do that unless you are genetically elite.
I’ve never really been skinny fat but I know skinny quite well, even though genetically, my entire family is prone to obesity, so maybe my diet has always been reasonable and helpful as I got into this as a 160lb skateboarder at 16 years old. Honestly, I had no problem putting the first 50lbs on with tuna and kraft Mac and cheese. Without considering drugs once. I’m glad I did it this way, because I spent so much time learning and incorporating different ideas for 2 decades. Making my results now in my later years fantastic, having a handle on these things and using extremely modest doses of AAS. And the most significant thing I’ve learned is, drugs aren’t super necessary to put size on, they are paramount for cutting weight/bf and maintaining muscle. Ya, they will get that size on you faster, but so does eating and training hard. Cutting naturally is just like masturbating with a cheese grater, it doesn’t get the job done like you wanted it to.
