Different strokes for different folks.

Haha that is pretty funny...I do crossfit, but I really disagree with a lot of things, especially the Kipping movements. I use it mainly for high intensity exercise, because I LOVE the lung burn and exhausted feeling...but I agree, a lot of stuff they do is BS. But... Look at Jason khalipa, Chris spealler, rich froning... Those guys are freaking beasts.

Rich...Jesus Christ. He has some good genetics. He even said he has a horrible diet.

I know, right? What's funny is that none of the top crossfitters do paleo. They all do more of a zone diet.

I like to do some crossfit type movements or superset like a crossfitter if I'm looking for a crazy pump or workout finisher. Ie: Deadlift to hang clean to front squat with low volume after a heavy leg day. Or pushups supersetted with pullups or an overhead press after a chest or shoulder day

Some of the crossfit terminology is goofy IMO. For one, what they call a "pull up" is not a pull up. It does take strength and endurance to do what some of these CF people do but I hate the videos like "138 Pull Ups in 2 Min, A New World Record!!!" or some such similar sh1te. Kipping FTL.

It would be interesting to see what the top people could do using strict pull up form. Personal record for me was 33 when I was about 168lbs and in really good shape.

If it makes ya happy I'm all for doing whatever different people want to stay in shape.

That being said those ****in pull ups man.. Drive me crazy!!! My eyes hurt watching it. Coming from a bodybuilding family and always focusing on strict form all these sway movements drive me craxy!!!

On average, you can do about half as many dead hang pullups as you can Kipping pullups. I never Kip when I do crossfit workouts, but that's my personal preference. Some people do it to keep the intensity high or as a cardio movement... Whatever floats your boat I guess.

If you go to failure/almost failure with good for then kip a few to get an extra couple I don't really see a problem. It's like using a little thrust on a curl cause you couldn't do it otherwise. But kipping all of them just to get more is awful
