Credible source?

I won't give names or web addresses, but two days ago I randomly received a PM saying to email a certain address to get "gear". I'm sure some of you have gotten the same PM. I was curious if i should trust it or how credible it is. I did some digging and cant find much about it. The prices are a bit cheaper than what i was going to do so now I am indecisive.

Any help is appreciated.
