creating a web page

hey all-

w/ our son being due Oct 3rd, I've been considering creating some sort of web page to share w/ family & friends. (all of my family is in Michigan & I'm down here in Louisiana). I was given a copy of Dreamweaver4, so that's my start.

As for web hosting, what's good out there? Is it possible for me to create a page that needs a password to get in? I'm not wanting to create a page that can be shared w/ all.. These days, too many freaks out there. Don't want to share too much w/ too many people...

why not upload your pics to a ftp server and give the username and password to the people you want to look at the pics or just mass mail the pics

Just use imageshack and only give select people the url.

I don't know, maybe too easy.. Looking for something to create.. I already use imagestation & the wife uses shutterfly.
