Creatine

Hey guys I was wondering how much creatine should be taken in a day. I've done some research and some people say 5g is enough and anything more is a waste but then others say to take 10g. My stats are 22 yrs 6'2 195lb thanks.

I normally stick between 5-10 g per day. I normally take the additional 5 g on days i deadlift or squat, i certainly do not think that going over 5 will kill you, athough it may give you some g.i. troubles. Also i stick with good ol monohydrate powder. No need to empty your wallet on some special creatine

Get yourself Creatine Mono Creapure..ON and Allmax and Pro Labs makes it.Its very affordable and effective.

I stick 5 gms every day.Whether im training or not. You can go 10,im happy with 5.

Although technically ,in a sense 10gms may be better than 5. You actually piss out more than u keep anyway. But i stick with 5gms,no less and always see bennies.

Thanks for the suggestions and yeah I'm taking prolab creatine mono because it pretty damn cheap and have really good results with it. But yeah I just didn't know if taking 10g was just a waste or more beneficial

Do you use it along with pre workout supps or other shakes.? There are a large amount that are already loaded with creatine. So you may/could already be ingesting 5+ g

Once saturated 3-5g would be plenty. Taking more will only lead to faster saturation (and possible GI distress).

Well i take craze, which is by far the best pre workout I've ever taken and I read that is has some creatine in it so I guess in a weight I'm taking around 6.5 to 7 grams. But When do you guys take your creatine because again I've read that some ppl take it before their workout and some after. I personally have always taken it after but alot of guys I know take it before.

Creatine timing isn't of utmost importance. Take it before or after, either way won't make an appreciable difference.

Yeah maybe if your using it at an incredibly long span or 3-5 gms can cause that as well. All depends on the person..but i know and heard of ppl taking 10 and never having issues.Honestly to much of anything is never good,be it creatine or daa or 3,4div etc....dont matter what it is.
Youe body pisses alot out,so i say go with 5 your better off, imo.

There's a long standing belief in the loading phase (upwards of 20g/day) to achieve saturation but its not necessity. There are some studies that suggest overall performance is better when saturation is achieved over time by skipping the loading phase and sticking with the 3-5g/day range. Quick saturation usually ends up in GI discomfort and that spongy look as water accumulates extracellularly too quickly (at least for me).

If you're not a fan of the powder, as I find powders inconvenient, check out NeoVar. No loading phase or GI issues and some little extras for insulin mimickry.

I have been happy with 5g. Creapure Mono is my favorite. (AX German Creatine, ON, etc.)

A min. 99.95% purity level is awesome. I don't really feel any kind of bloat but each individual is different.

First used it in the early nineties and, over the years, had good results with different loading patterns. My favorite and personal preference is 5g on a non workout day and 10g on a workout day. I use ON CM which is creapure.
