Creatine Citrate

What is the benefit of having creatine with the citrate molecule? More bioavailable I assume, but does anyone have any more info.
 
I was wondering this too. I noticed that they changed the formula on Axis Labs' Smash to creatine citrate as opposed to malate. Its cheaper cuz it's not all creatine its creatine bonded to a citric acid molecule like you said. I wonder what the ratio is? I think the citrate in smash is labeled as Tri-crea citrate which would be 3:1. I can't handle mono very well cuz i swell up like a water baloon, wake up in a full body cramp and am constantly on the pot but i have been using nutra's bulk dicrea malate along with my Smash and i'm lovin it so i might try out the citrate as well since its pretty cheap.
