Yes it is. Creatine is actually helpful IMO because it helps you with workout performance, which can be an issue while cutting. Creatine is solid, if it were a chick I'd bone her :)
 
I'd do a blend though if I were you, as opposed to regular monohydrate. Mono always tended to bloat me like most other people and put on alot of water weight, the result was a puffy look all the time that made it hard to really tell if i was getting leaner.
