Is there anybody in here that is really good at playing craps? I love the game and I'm going back to Vegas in July. Looking to become a better player and learn some new strategy.

I've read a few books but they all sucked. Just stick w/ place bets on 6 and 8. Also play the max odds on your line bets. Here is a good write up-

Get yourself a real crap table or somewhere to practice and learn dice control. If you can become a controlled thrower, then you have a better chance of winning.
 
Thanks for responding guys. Place bets and odds bets on 6/8 are definately the way to go. Size, what do you mean by dice control?

There are books that teach you techniques on how to throw the dice so that you can affect the outcome of the roll. I don't really belive in them and you need a lot of practice. You can also be banned for attempting to execute it.

Think about it like learning to throw a ball, but instead you are learning to throw dice. By learning the techinques and lots of practice, one can develop a skill that enables one to hit select roles more often than randomly.
 
But, in the casino they cut the dice before you roll... Have you actually known someone who has mastered the skills of rolling the dice that way?

It's a technique you use while throwing the dice. Nope, no one I know has done it.
 
Ok, lets get this straight. You can't "get good" at playing craps. It's gambling.

Place bets on 6 and 8 or not better then place bets on 4 5 9 or 10, they just hit more often, but pay LESS. Betting behind the line is the ONLY good bet in the entire casino, so take advantage of it. You will not get true odds on your money at any other place in the casino.

Avoid the Field, The Horn, and Big 6 Big 8, and you will lose money slower, but you are still going to lose money.

If you like craps, play it because it's fun, not because you think you can win money.

Man bet the back, All the back . If your on a $5 table it migt cost like$40 . It get to be more on higher dollar tables start small. When you when take the money you start with back. the let you money press or Half/half. They will most likely have a guy working the table on the side of the main guy . If you tip him as you win I promise he will make sure your making the right moves.

I like that idea. I've seen it done before. Especially when its 4 in the morning and there's hardly anyone at the table.
 
i know how to play craps.... but i've never attempted to really play yet...the odds look so scary. it looks like you'll lose your money so fast. im a black jack girl, i suck at it, but at least i win sometimes

bikes? no.... the sound of loud harleys irritate me..... big loud trucks yes..... bikes, fixed up civics ...no.
