Haha thanks brother. Surprisingly this was a kind of crappy day and I dropped the volume I was considering adding with my SIJ acting up. But I so try to get some good heavy volume in most days. Best way to grow.

PS these shoes feel REALLY good. Got $ to order a belt/ knee wraps if/when I want them. Probably wait for EFS to go on sale again for the knee wraps or maybe get APT blue arrows (I think I remember you guys saying they are good?) I was also thinking about getting an inzer 10mm forever belt instead of the toro because it's not that much different... and I figure if I am gona buy a nice belt that I will wear for 20 years I should get a cool lookin one... red white and blue?

Anyone order one lately and know how long they take to make/ship? I'd expect a month or a couple.

also gona use my buddies belt and more important knee wraps to see how I like them and what exactly I want. I may not go for knee wraps yet, as I still have a lot of progress to make without them so I don't feel any rush to start using them. I figure I should build a big squat w/ out then when I get them it will just be even better! The belt I need for my next real meet, but I can always borrow one from one of my buddies.

See I heard that then I heard they aren't bad. I was gona order the custom belt and some nose tork from them. You know a better place to get tork?

Love em. Wearing them around the house all morning to get them loose. I got the perfect size too same as my chucks incase anyone wonders.

liftinglarge . com is the only place I go for stuff. They've gone out of their way for me multiple times.

Well i got my knee wraps and wrist wraps last night anyways. Just did some practice with them and my legs were going number after half an hour haha. Wrist feel beefy I'll try them out today on bench.

Generally speaking, you wrap just before your set, and you get the wraps the fück off ASAP. The longest my wraps will be on for after my set is two frantic minutes of trying to get the tied end out from under the second to last wrap.

A light wrap for easy sets could probably stay on for longer, but I'm not experienced in that regard. You're getting used to them, so it's no biggie, but watch Donnie Thompson's videos and you'll see his legs are bluish purple. There was another video I saw recently of a black guy whose name I can't recall where his legs were chalk white from mid thigh to mid calf.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't want them on for longer than a minute or so and definitely wrap last second. And yeah I was watching APT and EFS videos ill check that out too. Definitely for a PR just wrap to all hell. I prob will use them for a few sets to get used to them then start using them for only joker sets. I don't wana use them every set. Use them more or less as a training took at times not use them all the time. If that makes sense. Just for some good old overload. Ill have to decide how I feel when it comes to meet time down the road.

Okay, I'll take a quick trip to the burgh just for that! Haha. I get what you're saying. I'll probably hit my sets, drop back down and hit some lighter singles back up using the wraps to get accommodated, getting gradually tighter (good synonym) and then hit the heavy ones.



Okay workout. D3W2C12 Bench. Weight - forgot, check it later. I'm hoping to taper back down now that I'm done w/ all the supps I was taking. And gona eat lighter and cleaner.

Bench - barx7,7 135x12,10, 225x5, 265x2, 285x1, 305x1, 315x1, +wrist wraps 305x2,2, remove wraps 305x2, 275x3, 245x8 (tiny spot at the end, left tri died)

DB seated overhead/super incline press (arnold almost) 50x10, 60x10, 70x10, 60x12

Tbar row - 50x10, 100x10, 150x10, 15, 20

Push up - 20, 20

Row machine - 150x7, 190x10,12

Gota say I felt great today. Killed every rep I did, bench felt strong and light. Lots of volume and good intensity. The wrist wraps are nice, really get that joint locked in and support you well, and make the weight feel lighter. I don't have issues with wrist pain or anything to begin with but they are a nice touch and I think will be nice to help me work with heavier weight and also to use as support on squats where I do have wrist pain. Really happy with the 305 doubles... I've never really done that much for a double, maybe once, and definitely not for 3 sets after doing a 315 rep... So I'm supposed to hit 310 next week for my "1" I'm gona try to at least double it.
 
Squats today w the new kicks. Lets hope it goes as well as bench did yesterday.
 
Well. Squats went good. I was gettin my weight forward a lot because I wasn't use to the heel so once I get accustomed to them it will get even better. I also learned a lesson. Realized I need to initiate the movement with my hips back and into the hole then open knees to help me sit back. That will help keep my weight back too. They felt amazing on front squats. They are super sturdy and firm. I love that. Better than sneakers or chucks by a long shot.

They are great. Tight and firm. Solid base. No shifting around. Sticky to the floor. I need to get used to the heel again on squats. But otherwise great.
 
D1W3C12 Bench BW - 198 ish

All weights are actually plus +2lbs because of heavier plates.

Bench - bar, 135x7,7,7 225x5, 245x5, 275x3, 310x2 PR (really easy), 320x1, 330x1 PR (grinder but got it)

Pin press, 2" off chest, 275x4,5

pullup- 10,10
row machine - 190x10,10, 170x10,

DB skulls - 30x10, 40x10, 30x15

Done. Felt bad and sore and tense in my back warming up. Elbows kinda hurt but once I started getting heavy things just felt good. Training partner wanted me to go for the max, so I did. I'm supposed to bench with some big SHW local guys who powerlift at the one guys gym at his house on friday. So I'm not sure what I'll do there now that I maxed today. Might go for 335. Or might just do some heavy volume (what I should do). Anyways happy. I've been grabbing up all kinds of PRs lately. I just need a DL rep PR tomorrow and I will be complete. Working w 525 tomorrow.

I want to note that I've made a ton of bench progress lately, and what I've done different is kill my tris, which are my weak/sticking point, hammer form, and do more heavy, higher rep work after my normal work sets.

310x2, 320x1 and my 330(332) gym PR.

You're not kidding, it's realllll low. It's freakin TOUGH keeping my but down on this bench. On a good comp bench + bar I think I would have had a little more in me still. I'm happy I got that after a double PR and hitting 320. If I end up taking a crack at 335 friday I'm pretty sure the guy has good stuff at his place. These guys are all 15-20+ years older than me and have like 50-100 pounds on me. Should be a good time.

Hell yeah! I bet you learn something from those guys, even if you don't PR that day. I've decided I don't like comp bench bars, they like to roll on me. I do like comp benches, though.
 
Yeah I like benches. I don't think it was a real "bench bar" we used to I dunno. I bet I will learn something too haha. I might just do some semi heavy volume. I don't like testing a max all the time, but I did do all my work for the cycle so hitting some extra shouldn't hurt. No reason to push for something that's not there though. If I even make it out. They bench at 7:30 on friday nights lol.

I feel ya. My gym is quiet anyways so no issue but up at school I agree. I will also have to shift my days around since that is squats. He has like a separate building with a gym in it at his house a guess. Neon green walls and shizz.

Not 100% sure how I feel about pulling in the shoes yet. I need more time with them. Once I break them in I think they will feel better. They definitely don't feel bad, just different. And I pulled pretty decent so. Gota get a few more sessions under my belt.
