Like I didn't even lift at all.

How have your training sessions been? You just have the testosterone levels of a male megalodon shark in his prime.

I don't feel sore... I feel like. Weak. exhausted. tired. just out of it. I mean, I have had low sleep, or no sleep, stress of finals over the past week and a half, and the meet. So that adds up to feeling crappy I guess.

When I did my meet, glutes, hips, hams, upper back and especially my knees and lower back were all really sore.

I couldn't squat unless my shins were vertical for two weeks and I couldn't pull unless it was sumo for the same amount of time.

I know for me it was because my form broke down on squats and from setting up in the monolift with my feet too wide.

The upper back took a pounding simply because it wasn't strong enough. Hopefully I've remedied that this time around.

It was low volume as a precaution, but I didn't feel rundown or anything at all.

My bank account is feeling a little woozy as of late though.

Hmmmmm. You can fix that! Sell yourself.

Herd. My glutes and hips are a little sore and tight. A little in my elbows and shoulders. Back is overall sore/tight but not like bad. But I also didnt squat so.

I'm excited I'll be home tomorrow. Training at my home gym for a month, most of the time w/ my one buddy who actually lifts heavy... maybe we can get some good stuff going.

Finals ended up like this. I have one more tomorrow, but it's super easy and I have a 98 or 99 in the class... no worries.

Final Lit speech/presentation - 95
Final spanish oral exam - 97
Anatomy Lab practical exam - 96
Development psyc final exam - 100
Anatomy lecture final exam - 97
Philosphy final - A

4.0 this semester. woohoo. 9 more to go. (actually 12 but whose counting summer semesters in grad school... LOL)

Feeling pretty good. Successful finals week, successful meet performance. Now focus on training and relaxing over break. Life is good gents.

Thanks. They def do go fast haha. This coming summer is my last one so it's kinda bitter sweet.

Nice job Country!

Work well done in school my brother.

I have 2 more exams and then I'm kickin' my feet up and drinking a dark lager. All I see is A's.

Great job in the meet and congrats on the 4.0! Haven't started finals here yet so I'm pretty jealous you are done.

18 credits in summer sounds like it's gonna be brutal

Haha no way man. Most I've done in a summer is 6 credits and a 40+ hour/week internship and I was struggling to stay on top of things

That's no joke dude. I have 18 credit hours now and work 30 hours a week. I feeeeel your pain.

I hear ya. I work 30-40 a week, usually more towards 30 now, but it's tough with school and work for sure.

Ryan- go get it brah

Heck yeah man. Way to go. Anatomy was a pleasant challenge this semester but overall not bad for me.

Thanks dude. Yeah it's nice to be done. Goodluck on yours!

The thing is those 18 credits are all hard. Like, your hardest class from undergrad each semester all added up. The summer/spring of doctor of physical therapy here is nuts. Basically get through it and you're golden. If not change your major. Haha. And it happens to people.

brutally fun

No.

That's def no fun. I work 10-15 a week now plus regular credit workout (16 right now) and it's fine. I'm working a little more next semester though, but it's manageable (and work study for part of it)

Nasty.

Video. I'll be getting/adding another view from the side for some I believe.

Nice work! That angle of your bench press shows that you've been doing what I've been trying to get you to do the whole time. >.<

You're so damn fast off the floor, too. 600 will be child's play in Feb. Little more glutes.

Thanks brother. I've def been hammering away at keeping those elbows tucked like you said along with staying tight using leg drive and everything else; and these past few weeks have just really clicked for me on bench.

And yes, I don't have trouble off the floor like a lot of guys seem to. I had a bad lockout there because I got my weight into my toes and my calls started to shake as you can see in my knees. That slowed me down and made the lockout slower. If I had stayed back and pulled smooth over the knees I could have kept bar speed up and the lockout would have been cake. Definitely just keep hammering the deads like I have.

I had the same thing happen to me with 505 in my first meet. It was heavy and slow because the weight was too far forward. It made me hesitant on my third attempt. Called 525, started with the weight a little closer to me, and moved it like an opener.

I'm tellin ya, 600 is not far off. Possibly could have pulled it on Saturday if you make that slight adjustment.

Even w the goof up I could have pulled it i believe. It felt good. I didn't stick anywhere in the lift, lookout just looked slow because of momentum. I could hip hinge those last few inches w 650 probably. Haha.

Definitely there if I do the feb meet, maybe more. Don't even know how that happened. I think I just drifted around the bottom of the knees instead of sitting back til I was past the knees. Trying not to drag the bar too much because that sucker was rough. Best bar I've ever used.

Cool **** mang. Had some fans at the end

Thanks brother. Yeah made some good friends w guys in my weight class and bench flight, and a bunch of the big 242+s were cheerin for me. We buddied up after the bench and were chatting when we warmed up together. Crazy to see some big guys who actually train hard.

The comradery, friendship and support between pretty much all the guys was awesome. No one was being competitive w each other just encouraging.

That's so great you had an awesome experience at the meet. I would say my experience was very much like yours. First thing in the am (I was in a full meet) everybody was rather stern, some cranky, and almost all uniformly mean-mugging everyone else. But after announcements and once some lifters started going up and maybe popping their first-meet cherry, people let their shields down and started talking with one another. I got along real well with a number of dudes there, had some invitations to lift at their gyms (yeah right, 8 hours away from my home), and even met Brandon Lilly and Sam Byrd and talked to them for a while. Meets are definitely a great time. I can't wait to go to my first one in my state. I heard the first full meet, raw, will be in May, so that may be the next time I lift. Though, they have a push pull coming up in March...

That's awesome dude! and def hit up that push pull. Yeah it's all these guys who are like 240+ and way older and then me. I just walk up to these old dudes are ask if they are lifting and start BSing. They open right up. I'm a pretty friendly guy though so I have that going for me.

I have the other vids coming now. Hold onto your seats folks. I do wish I had gotten a complete side view of my deads to check my back, but it felt good and from what I can see looks good and flat... I don't remember feeling any rounding and I doubt I did w/ how rested I was. being 100% is awesome... lol.

I forgot to comment on it, but that was 585 pull had really awesome speed driving it. Well done.

Thanks man. I definitely ripped the hell out of it. I am still blown away how fast they all were. 500 looked like 225... haha. So are we all still gona have that DL competition, first to a certain number? I was thinkin like 650.

Okay, here I have the other views of everything but 500. Invalid Link Removed
napalm, Sean1331 jimbuick anyone have any critique for me? And anyone else who wants to chime in.

I'm always competing for a bigger deadlift, so I'm in.

I'll race you to a 500lb squat and 400lb bench. I'm out of my league on DL. Sh1t has stalled at 525. Must pull more.

I can get in on that race, too. I'm fairly close to the 500 squat mark but 400 bench is far enough out it would be a good thing to do.

First one to 500/400/600?

For me personally 450/350/600 is more reasonable for 2014... but whatever!

My vote goes for the first one.

I'm also going to be running 500mg of test for 12 weeks, LOL.

Sorry this is a drug tested competition only...

Hahaha. But really I don't care. The thing w me and toro is just for fun and honestly not a big deal. I'm more interested in how much I improve personally than in comparison to anyone. Hell id be happy for you guys to beat me there if you're gaining that well.

I'm gona go eat something.

I agree dude, I want all of us to improve. A little extra motivation never hurt no one though. If we all get stronger its a win/win.

I'm training hard and puttin out 100% nevertheless, so you MFers better get crackin'! haha. I want to hit 450/350/650-500/375/700 range in 2014. What you guys accomplish is on you ;)

If you do smolov that will be interesting for me to watch.
