Cordyceps long term use and mechanism of action

Hey everyone I am fairly new to this forum and have limited knowledge about testosterone production. That being said I have been looking into cordyceps as a way to increase testosterone and I was wondering if there is anybody more knowledgeable on the subject than me. From my research it appears that cordyceps increases testosterone via some hcg mimetic property and it seems to be fairly potent given the study on cyclist. My question is what is the exact mechanism of action of cordyceps and is it safe to use long term without causing long term damage to natural testosterone production.

Thanks in advanced for any replies!

Not sure about Cordyseps test boosting abilities but I heard it's good for cardio, that's why many cyclist and runners are using it.

It's safe long term

Quote from Apnut Drive writeup:
Cordyceps contains polysaccharides that are very similar to luteinizing hormone (LH) in structure, and it has been postulated that these polysaccharides mimic LH, stimulating increased testosterone production and subsequent anabolism. A 2001 study The Journal of Life Sciences furthered this hypothesis, and it was replicated in a 2003 study.

I can definitely vouch for cordy's endurance and all around benefits. That's why it's in a number of MST's products.

Found this abstract regarding test boosting

My concern is that because it more or less replaces HCG or LH at whatever sites they bond to that this might cause the body to alter its own production of HCG or LH long term, anyone have any bloodwork showing normal HCG or LH levels after longterm cordyceps use?

Interesting study where cordyceps drastically increases testosterone.
