LMAO! Nigel Bradham for FSU (linebacker) has an ACL injury after celebrating. Bill Gramatica all over again.

Dumb Noles.

RLY. Troy. Homecoming. Fighting it out in the 2nd half.

Great comeback - but still....

Troy's not exactly a chump team. They gave Ohio State a game this year too. They're easy to overlook, especially when you've just been beaten by a rival led by your former coach.

I know what you're sayin' though. Still, it's hard to win big when your QB spots the opposing team 21 points.

Miami should be ranked this week. Hell, they might end up in the Orange Bowl!

Biggest game of the season is Thursday night at GT. I'ma be there.

Maryland is in the driver seat for the Atlantic side.
I'd love for it to be Miami-Maryland in Tampa on Dec. 6th. I'd go stay with my Mom in Gainesville and hit up the game.

Getting ahead of myself - but this is the first meaningful game we've had late (hell even mid) season in the ACC since '05.
Been a long time coming.

Cool... I'll be pulling for them! (Which is new for me, by the way!)

Only because we need a Tide-Canes Sugar Bowl rematch within the next year or two (or better yet, in 2012). Best two out of three?

Bama's win tonight was as I expected... all defense and special teams (Thank you, Javier Arenas!). Miss. State always gives their offense fits. Practically their entire coaching staff has ties to the Univ. of Alabama, so they aren't exactly intimidated by the atmosphere in Tuscaloosa.

I wish they'd get the ball to Julio Jones more often. That guy is a playmaker. Anyway, I know the press will talk about how flashy the other top teams are, and how the Tide hasn't exactly lit up the scoreboard on offense since the Georgia game... but all I can say is:

11-0

ROLL TIDE.

Bah. You gonna put one of those other non-BCS teams in with strength of schedule's in the 90 to 100 range?

At least Miami went out of conference to play Florida. Those 3 jokers haven't played anyone.

Yeah the ACC has parity like I've never seen. But putting another non-BCS team in isn't warranted on their schedules.
At least we have OOC wins like Dook over Vandy.

I agree with the article to a degree. I think the ACC... in general... is crap this season. Yes, there's parity, but there are no standout teams that can hang with the elite from the Big 12 or SEC. However, I think this is mostly due to a changing of the guard, so to speak. V. Tech is no longer going to be a shew-in for the conference championship. Miami is going to be back in a big way... and FSU, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina are all recruiting well again. I look for teams like Wake Forest and Maryland to take a dive in the very near future. There will be a 11-1 or 12-0 team from the ACC showing up in the conference championship within a couple of seasons, imo.

King is absolutely insane to say Utah, Ball State, and/or BYU will have a beef. Those teams would be lucky to be .500 in any other conference outside the Mountain West, MAC, Sun Belt, or Conference-USA.

I'll give Boise State the benefit of the doubt for now. At least they beat Oregon in Eugene. On a side note... I f#@king detest their blue turf. I don't know how that sh#t is legal.

Yeah - blue turf is bad. Miami played against Nevada there in the Blue Turf bowl in '06 - Coker's last game.

Players said the turf made it feel colder.

LOL - 3 ranked ACC teams this week, all are different than last week.

They're even different from poll to poll! The coaches poll only has Maryland at #23 and BC at #25. The ACC is definitely clogging up the #23-29 spots.

Looks like all the polls have the same top 6 this week. I'm pulling for Oregon State to run the table now... so USC can't win the Pac-10. Then they won't have much of a beef at the end of this circus ride. (Yes, I'm a hater.)

Next weekend is Texas Tech @ Oklahoma. Looking forward to that one. jmh, you wanna predict the score? I'm guessing...

OU - 73
TT - 70

Oh god. Yeah it will be a shoot out. The OU D has been BAD this year. Even the Sooner fans I know admit that.

I'm very much leaning towards OU throwing bedlam (pun intended) into the BCS by beating TxTech.

I would think something like 56-49 - last score coming with a minute left.

If Oregon State wins the Pac 10, I think that seals USC not making it to the Champonship Game.

A team that hasn't won it's conference has NOT made the championship game since '01 Nebraska. And we saw how well that worked out...

I do not see the pollsters allowing a team that didn't win it's conference to make the championship game again.

It would still be Big 12-SEC if OrState goes to the Rose.

Oklahoma is 60-2 at home under Stoops, including a 24-0 current streak, and 11-0 record against ranked teams. Obviously, playing in Norman could be the difference.

I can see Oklahoma jumping Texas in the BCS with a win on Saturday... which would definitely cause a sh#tstorm of a debate!

plenny, for your listening pleasure...

lol...

#1. iowa is a better team than their record depicts(losing by 12 pts total in 4 games)
#2 iowa has one of the best rbs in the nation
#3 the coaching staff(not just Jopa) for penn st lost that game. spread off. worked all season long..why go power I?
#4 penn st. lost to iowa 4 out of last 5 times after a bye week
#5 i know this sounds cliche, but mother nature played her role, although penn st should be accustomed to it.
#6 prevent "d"????????
#7 road game
#8 penelties
#9 joe in the press box
#10 D-Clark should've sat this one out(banged up from osu game)..pat devlin(back-up qb..better pocket passer)

plenny's top 10 excuses for penn state's loss to iowa

Devlin was committed to Miami for a long, long time. He decommitted when we fired Coker.

We definitely took the trade of Devlin/Coker for Marve/Shannon.

#11. Iowa was who Penn State thought they were... and they let 'em off the hook.

Actually, I believe excuse #1, but I would add: ...and Penn State was worse than their record depicted.

Woooooooooooooooooooo

Am I late?

So much for the #3 defense in the nation. We could have put up 70 had we not put the ball on the ground twice early. Spurrier is still my boy though.

When we visit Ron Zook field in 2 weeks (formerly Doak), I'm praying we hang 100 on that pathetic school out west. FSU is going to get the business. And then mark my words, they will get the hammer brought upon them courtesy of the NCAA not too long after. You shall see...

Rubbering, I'm looking forward to jawing with the Tide faithful in Atlanta. I have respect for Bama and what they've done so far. I'm rooting for you guys vs. Auburn (my In-Laws both went to Auburn, they can suck it).

My wife and sister-in-law went up to the game this past weekend. Spurrier is a good man, i agree (how could anyone hate the man in what he did for UF), but you have to see the shirt they bought me from the game. I'll post up a pic of it later. It's hillarious, haha. I had to work of course......DOH!!!!

I may try to get up to atlanta for the SEC championship game, but i'm not sure yet.

I can't wait to see UF lay an a$$ whoppin' on the criminoles! :whip:

Nice. Post it up when you get the chance. If you get off from work the weekend of the SEC Championship I say without a doubt, MAKE IT TO ATLANTA. In '06 it was a blast, so I can only imagine it will be that much crazier this year with all those crazy backwoods Bama fans . Atlanta really does an excellent job of putting it together, including the parades, pre-game party's, SEC fan fair, etc.

Oh yeah, my most recent Gator purchase :drunk: :

This one's for you, rubbering. An SEC hottie from bama, and she has all her teeth! ;) I kid buddy.

I must say, i'd ROLL all over this TIDE, and paint her orange and blue. :p

Dude... not cool. She's my sister.

Wait, what am I sayin'... she's a great lay.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Thursday night - J-Rod will be in the ATL for Miami-Georgia Tech.

Should be a great game - and cold. Low is mid 20's. Wind also.

Can't wait!!!!

Dude, not to sound all Law & Order, but...

I'm sorry for your loss.

This is all very interesting, considering this was the same Randy Shannon that cried after Meyer kicked that late field goal when UF/UM faced off early in the season...

Tech sat on the ball inside the UM 10 so as not to run up the score, and Shannon comes out firing again. If Shannon really buys the crap he sells about not trying to run up the score in the 4th quarter of blowouts, he wouldn't have been so hypocritical tonight. The onside kick down 18 with 1:18 to go eliminates ANY complaint Shannon can ever have about another team running up the score. Onside kicks are done by teams thinking they can win. If you're not willing to admit defeat in that situation, then why should an opposing team presume a victory (and let up...a la Gators kicking a field goal late on 4th down vs. Miami?)

And Georgia Tech with 472 rushing yards? Good lord. 2nd most yards Miami has ever given up.

According to the logic of a certain Penn State fan in here, Miami and G. Tech will have to cancel the game... 'cause southern guys can't possibly play in the cold.

rubber..you have got to be kiddin me. cold in georgia is warm in wisconsin..ohio..pennsylvania......it took brett farve 2 years to be effective in home games in nov/dec in green bay.

stength of schedule= "THE CITADEL":frustrate

Actually, that's a step up from Coastal Carolina... or Syracuse... or Temple.

Look plenny, I get it. Now that your team has been exposed as undeniably mediocre, you're just trying to push buttons. That's cool. But good Lord, man... at least try to make valid points. The Citadel and Favre posts are just vapid.

Too bad your boys don't play Pitt anymore. Then we'd know PSU is probably not even the best team in their own state.

Damn, and I was actually going for Miami to represent the ACC until last night, that was a beat down. Atleast my Noles kept it to within inches of winning against GT.

UCF dropped us from their schedule a few months before the 2007 season (after we destroyed them 42-0 and O'Leary put Michigan ahead of us in the BCS before we went on to win the Nat'l Championship), forcing us to scramble and find an opponent for our '07/'08 season. Western Kentucky and Citadel stepped up, and it wasn't like we had much of a choice at that point.

dude, at least your honest that YOUR school and their over-rated conference play pathetic games like this. there are 1 or 2 ppl on here that think the sec is the nfl.
