Collagen protein still sucks .....right?

Whacked

I've always read it's bottom of the barrel in terms of bb'ng needs - this still true?

I'm only curious b/c I am the unfortunate type that can't digest ANY of the powdered proteins so I'm always looking for alternative options.

Thanks Brother. I can't do whey or Casein or egg. Lol. That's why I was trying to assess how inferior this was.

If it's not too bad, I may want to try it. If it's useless - I won't.

Grab a PEA protein, or look into something like SAN Rawfusion. Vegetarian based.
Or grab an isolate. (Blue Star/Allmax)

the only problem is protein made from real beef is expensive, and as the solution mentioned many of the companies use collagen. The amino acid profile of it is not appealing at all

I would just stick with an isolate or 100% whey powder. Those are the best you will find rather than looking for a beef protein.

Research still shows whey as the highest grade protein source available.
Carnivor is made primarily from collagen, not muscle tissue. It's inferior to whey.
Due to the cost of the raw materials, most "beef" protein powders use discarded parts like collagen and even blood.

Not all beef protein on the market is collagen or blood based.

There are multiple hydrolyzed beef protein ingredients on the supply side using beef muscle as the source material, a couple with 16-18% BCAA content.

Not as high as whey, but certainly acceptable if you can't go with dairy.

Real beef protein is and will continue to become more common on the supplement market because LFTB despite being entirely fit for consumption was chased out of the ground beef industry due to media scare stories.

When in doubt, ask the manufacturer if they are using collagen/gelatin or real beef protein. The people selling real beef protein are more than happy to confirm it explicitly (I.e. Ask MT about their 100% Beef Protein), the people who aren't will give you the runaround and talk in circles.

As for OP, yes, collagen protein still sucks :D

Thanks all ;)
