Collagen Protein Discussion

Hello guys,

Why collagen protein has such a bad reputation? People say it is garbage and gives no results.

However there are several articles supporting good results for the joints and articulations.

What is your experience using collagen? Better joints and articulations? Better skin and hair? Nothing at all?

Let us know your results, experience, type of collagen and dosage!

It’s great for skin hair etc, just don’t include it in your total daily protein intake numbers.
 
Pretty sure type 2 (chicken) is more beneficial for joints.

Bovine is comprised of mainly types 1 & 3 collagen.

I’d say look for a multi collagen.
 
I take a joint product that is iirc UC2 collagen. I actually have experienced some joint relief from this product.

I used to use a product made with iirc grass fed hydrolyzed beef collagen. The whole point to that product was for pumps, joint relief and overal nitrogen retention. I really enjoyed that product as well, especially while dieting because it was essentially like Hershey chocolate syrup but Didn’t have any sugar in it
