COD Black Ops vs. BFBC2 (PS3)

I feel like my heart has been ripped out.

After continuous freezing and sound issues from BFBC2, I sold the game. I just couldn't take the hard-shutdowns of my PS3 anymore. Fortunately I only payed $30 for a brand new BFBC2 Ultimate Edition. Even after using the VIP code, I was able to sell the game for $28.

I went to Gamestop this morning and picked up a pre-owned COD Black Ops. - Wholly crap, this is one of the worst FPS games I've ever played in my life. The multiplayer (the only thing I play on FPS games) was the most wretched experience I've ever had. - Lag, failed connections, and skill-less gameplay.

I loved BFBC2, but I just couldn't take the freeze-ups anymore. Not only is it bad for my system, but it wouldn't even allow me to build up my stats. And now, Black Ops, one of the most popular games out there I find to suck beyond reasonable comprehension.

Anyone else come to this same conclusion?

...I guess I'll continue to play BF1943 and UC2 online. (Still playing Fallout 3 single player as well)
 
I like playing zombies on cod, me and the wife play it daily. The online play on COD is boring and I'm always number one so it gets old fast. I would just suggest playing zombies with a team and don't stay with them so its a lot harder.

I'm sure it's decent, but I just can't stomach single player FPS games. Just not enough versatility. I like the competitive aspect of mplayer; something about single player FPS' don't get me going.

I've still got Red Dead, Fallout 3 and Borderlands to beat. Uncharted 2 and BF1943 still keep me happy online, although the players are becoming fewer. I'll continue with those until a better multiplayer comes out.
 
Fallout 3 is amazing but to damn long for me, I think they made a new borderlands or an expansion or something if so how does it compare to the first one? If I'm wrong and there is only one that game got old fast for me. Do you play madden? My wife is undefeated in Madden on ps3 haha
 
zombies is way fun. I've never actually played normal multiplayer on COD. BFBC2 is way better for that IMO. The whole no gravity thing annoys the crap out of me on COD.

Maybe it is the game with ps3. I've never had a problem playing bfbc2 on xbox.

I had bf for like a week then dropped the disk out my car and it doesn't work anymore, I never got to play online :(
 
oh yeah the network issues aren't that much better on xbox. bfbc2's servers > cod's servers by a long shot

Yes, the expansions are great. Adds new areas/quests to the game. I love Borderlands. Great co-op game as well.

Don't play any sports games with the exception of NHL.

I've heard the issue is on 360 as well, but not nearly as much of a problem. It happens every couple of hours for me now. Absolutely ridiculous.
 
how can you compare battle field to black ops... battlefield is boring as ****!!!
play the campaighn in black ops.. pretty long compare to the other COD. good story line and lots of guns!!! I got xbox though
 
The warfare in BC2 is so much more realistic. Black Ops to me just screams that Activision/Treyarch wanted to make a quick buck.

The sound, graphics, controls, vehicles, weapons, ballistics, etc. in BC2 is all quite literally superior to Black Ops.

You shoot a building with a rocket, it blows up.
You can spawn onto your squad.
Little to no lag.
Rarely ever does a server drop.
You can change classes mid-game.

...of course this all doesn't matter if the game continues to freeze. Neither games are playable for me right now. Too many problems with each.

who buys a fps for the campaign... either way, black ops made absolutely no sense about half way through. It just got weirder and weirder.
