Clomid/Nolva Cancer question

I'm right on the verge of starting my first cycle. Getting all my ducks in a row I ran into a road block. My nurse buddy told me that Nolvadex/Clomid are carcinogenic and can cause serious abnormal cell growth in the up coming years being it stays in the body for 5 years. Any one can debunk the claim or is it actually true? She did say that she's treated breast cancer patients with it but it can cause different cancers later on

Everything causes cancer. But I don't think using nolva for 4 weeks is going to increase your risks more than tanning or drinking, or painting your house.

I've seen multiple posts from guys doctors prescribing them clomid for short term test boost.

But seriously, what do we really know about the long term effects of oral steroids? Or even half of the other supplements most of use.
