Check me out!

That is pretty good man. I think your form is really good too....for all 20 reps. I'm sure there is some constructive criticism that you could have, but I don't see it. I don't think I could do 20 with that...my max is about 450-475 for 1 rep...

Thanks HIT4ME. You should consider giving higher reps on deadlifts a go. I also train heavier but try to incorporate weeks where I do a couple of sets with a moderately heavy weight for as many reps as possible. It is just another great way to test your strength and it doesn't feel as taxing on the lower back and knees has one or two really heavy reps.

Yeah, I think that is a GREAT idea. The reality is, I just LOVE killing myself with deadlifts too much. I only do them once a week and I fear them, but I love the feeling of hitting a PR and really crushing my back. It is hard to change doing something I like so much for what I KNOW I should be trying....

Last night I did a drop set - got 3 reps with 435 pounds, dropped to 385 pounds and got 3 more reps, then did a second set doing 2 reps with 435, dropped to 2 reps with 385, then dropped to 3 reps with 335. My back is tight today, but I know I killed it.

Then you watch a video of a guy doing 7 reps with 550 or 650 and you wonder if that will ever come :)

You will get there. You are doing the right thing, always crush it in the gym. All you can do is give it everything you have and I also think that it is very important to do what you like. If you love heavy deads and can physically do them crush it that way! That great work. Stay positive and continue to kill it in the gym.

Cool. Add some more weight and shoot for a 10 rep max now. Heavy enough to suck but enough reps to make it fun.
