Poop, Smith Machine Squats feel worse on my knees, I haven't done those in years. I think it's been talked about a lot that they seem to be more detrimental to your knees than other movements.
Stretch your quads so that they loosen their "pull" on your patella.. that can alleviate a lot of the discomfort. Mega dose the fish oils..
