Ok, so Post owns Malt-o-Meal meaning that sentimentalism aside what we are getting here "probably" is Oreo O's.

However, to me it tastes different: more sugary/vanilla heavy with the chocolate component not being as dark and crispier while also not as hard vs the OG.

Wanting to rule out my biases, I compared the ingredients in South Korean boxes vs our bags...and they are different. Cookies & Cream lists Corn Flour at the top, then a good bit later "whole oat flour" and no wheat.

Until I fork over the money for an international box, the issue will remain undecided in my mind.

TL;DR : they are good tho not GOAT.

It's easy enough to be fooled by others. Least that we can do is not fool ourselves.

This involves being aware of biases and correcting for them.

Milk changes the flavor profile of Girl Scouts Thin Mints cereal only slightly. I thought the mint’s punch weakened but the overall sweetness was enhanced. I can’t really say the cereal improved nor did it decline, but I can say I enjoyed it thoroughly. Chocolate mints cereals are hard to come by in that they didn’t exist until right now. This is a refreshing flavor and it adds to the cereal’s novelty.

In summary, General Mills deserves the “Fatass Appreciation” Award for their new cookie-cereal hybrid.

Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier. So far I've only had a few bites of it dry, and it was pretty good, not actual cookie good, but I'm looking forward to trying it with milk.

I was initially as well but I'm so glad I did. Already bought a second box and I just got the. First on Friday ha (and have 6 other cereals unopened already haha)

For anyone who has yet to try them:

Blueberry Pancake Captn Crunch - AMAZING/10. literally tastes exactly like a crunch blueberry pancake, complete with maple syrup. both the pancake and syrup flavors are bold and distinguishable from each other. Truly amazing.

Cinnamon (not Fruity) Pebbles - 7/10 Very good, pretty much exactly what you'd expect them to taste like. Not as good as the cinnamon frosted flakes (or CTC) tho by a wide margin.

Girl Scout Thin Mint - 7/10 Decent flavor, not very minty (which I like). Tastes like a slightly duller version of the cookie. Very nice crunch tho. If you're a fan of the cookies, you'll like the cereal, but not love it. It wont replace your cookies.
 
Frosted Mini Wheats and I mix GNC wheybolic with the milk peanut butter flavor. Over 50g of protein and 60g of carbs.
 
Cinnamon Toast Crunch never gets old. Feels better knowing the cinnamon helps offset the huge insulin spike if only a minuscule amount haha.

Sometimes plain old Cherios are good. Even better with sugar dumped on top.

This thread practically got me off my low-carb diet as I went straight to the cerial isle last time I weren't grocery shopping. Usually I skip that isle.

Damn good folks. Mint flavor is not too strong, in fact, cocoa hits you first.

Favorite part was the texture tho: think cheese puffs. Will stock up.

So they are soft and airy? Seems odd for a cookie knock off. I thoiught they would be more like Cookie Crisp.

Nope. Very sight crunch on outer shell but soft inside. Ideal for soaking up milk like a sponge and not having flavor compete with abrasive texture.

Generally speaking, crispy cookies are an abomination so the fact that such an incarnation has been averted is a good thing.

I wouldn't call them sponges, as they don't get super soggy right away. They def are much lighter tho than something like Cookie Crisp

Agreed on both fronts. However...

These are definitely solid and worth trying. The crunch is closer to the Captain's cereal and there isn't much coconut flavor, but it's a nice caramel (as opposed to some which taste incredibly chemical) and the powdered chocolate covering gives a pleasant 1-2 punch.

Prob won't get a second box, but glad I picked it up. Tide against them stems more from typical internet patterns: "opinion leaders" put forth overly strong views to appropriate sides and lemmings follow their favorite team.
 
As expected no bueno, but picked it up for $2...so why not. Well the reason why is because the choc part is inferior to cocoa puffs since it's just a chocolate dusted ball and the cookie part tastes super cheap.

Yes it does if you rarely eat it. Not to mention the film it leaves in your mouth. BUT ITS SOOOOO GOD DAMN GOOOOOD!!

I went strait for the Maple and was initially disappointed (I always want maple to be stronger than it is)

But I did something I never do and let it sit in milk a few minutes first, maple came through much better this way.

6.5/10 from me but a less picky maple fan might rate higher


Birthday Cake Fruit Loops are delicious. 9/10 on taste but they lose points in flavour accuracy because I don't get "birthday cake" at all lol.

More like traditional fruit loops + icing (sweeter)

The cereal pros can judge better soon, shipping a few boxes out soon
