What does the term PPAR mean and what are PPAR activators?

PPAR-alpha activation increases fat oxidation in the mitochondria and peroxisomes by increasing the expression of enzymes involved in beta-oxidation of fatty acids. In addition, PPAR-alpha activation also increased the number or peroxisomes and mitochondria. This combination of an increased number of peroxisomes and mitochondria plus the increase in beta-oxidation of fatty acids increases the rate and capacity at which fat can be burned.

Hops (standardized for Isohumulones):
Hops is an herb that people tend to most commonly associate with relaxation and being one of the ingredients in beer. With Hops, as with many herbs, it’s not the herb itself that is most significant, it’s what the herb is standardized/extracted for that makes the difference – in this case, Isohumulones.

Isohumulones (iso-α-acids) are a natural flavonoid found in hops and are the major bitter components in beer and come from the female hops plant (Humulus lupulus L.).

Isohumulones (iso-α-acids) have been shown to help obese individuals with prediabetes by supporting reducing hyperglycemia, the lowering of blood sugar, improved insulin sensitivity (decreased insulin resistance), and increased fat loss; thereby supporting improving some of the underlying markers of metabolic syndrome.

This exciting ingredient has been the subject of both rodent and human studies.

In a rodent study, Isohumulones (iso-α-acids) were shown to support a reduction in diet induced obesity. They were also shown to support the reduction of body-fat in rodents in part by increasing thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue. (Think – significance of the other ingredients in LipoVantage supporting the browning of white adipose tissue).

In one study on Isohumulones (iso-α-acids), healthy obese individuals had a significant reduction in visceral fat and total abdominal fat after 12 weeks as compared to a placebo. The reduction is visceral and total fat areas was approximately two-fold lower than in the placebo group.

Isohumulones have also been shown to support Peroxisome Proliferator-Activator Receptors (PPAR) activation.

Stearoylethanolamide (SEA) is a fatty acid amide and endocannabinoid neurotransmitter that has been shown to support a decrease in food intake (support appetite control) and support fat loss independent of the PPAR pathway.

One of the things that I worried about with this and launching it and Thermo Scorch within a couple months of one another was one potentially taking away attention from the other. They are similar in the sense of both being stimulant free fat burners and containing MitoBurn but are also very different in the way that they work besides that.

I don't think that it's going to be a matter of one being better than the other, I think its going to be finding which one works best for the individual in that one may work better for one person and the other may work better for another.

Also, LipoVantage and Thermo Scorch can be stacked together and make for a helluva fat burning stack.

It's selling very well for us and we've had good feedback on it, but I think the intro thread kind of got overlooked here so I haven't seen as much feedback on it here on AM as we've received otherwise.

It's a great product with some very good and unique methods of action.

We've had some feedback already from some people saying its the best stimulant free appetite control product they've ever used.

Both are great products.

Lean Edge imo is the most comprehensively formulated stimulant free fat loss product available.

LipoVantage is a great product and MitoBurn is a great ingredient; and LipoVantage is a great product for people that want to use MitoBurn and it makes a great stack with Lean Edge or is great for people that want to try something different.

Different things work different for different people, and one may find that they like Lean Edge better while the next person may find that they like LipoVantage better.

For me, I would be stacking the two as Lean Edge is the base of any stimulant free fat loss program that I do because I respond so well to it.

Great question.

I think that I would experiment with it and try 1 cap 3x per day an hour or so before meals and then also try 2 caps once per day and 1 capsule once per day and see which way works the best for me. It may be that one person will like one way better and another person may like the other way better.

Had the pleasure of using lipovantage the last 2 weeks which was dosed in late evening or before bed depending on when cravings kicked in; more in detail down below.

Little background, been dieting last 20 weeks (down 55 lbs) eating 2460 calories, lifting 4x a week. Light cardio 20 min liss 4 x week. 1 cheat meal a week which total calories were no more than 150% than my cutting calories, so 3690 calories. Took 2 diets breaks (2x2 weeks at 3000 calories), was it needed? Probably not, I am in no rush if i am going to make postitive change to diet and exercise longterm.

Some key points and observation of lipovantage.
☆appetite suppression 10/10- hands down the best appetite suppresion supplement supplement I have used. Big time fan of evomuse and the old olympus labs fat burners, they did me well in the past. I did have 2 infections during this last stretch of the cut and did 2 rounds of antibiotics, had insane bottomless pit cravings both times. Taking lipovantage stopped all the cravings and I had no issues finishing out the last round of antibiotics, stayed on point with the diet. Wake up in the morning and can usually not be hungry till 11am (dinner is usually around 5pm the night before)

•sleep pattern- ? Just my observation, but nonetheless a plus for me in my book is I have fallen asleep and stayed asleep last 2 weeks better than in the past. Wake up feeling mostly refreshed. Maybe not the true intention of this product

• wake up looking slimer- my wife is a tough but brutally honest critic and has commented on my stomach especially lower stomach has trimmed down.

All in all been loving the product these last 2 weeks, just the appetite suppression alone I will certainly be ordering this again and will be a staple for future cuts.

Final thoughts weight-loss has been a loss of about 2.38lbs a week, still too early to tell but if I'm keeping a steady fat loss rate I can't complain especially if I don't have to drop calories or add more cardio (will add more down the road for cardiovascular benefits). Will keep you updated on weight-loss as I plan on running this 4 months straight.

Last but not least, Steve and sns have been amazing at answering my questions/concerns as well as offering his insight/expertise to help me achieve my goals to be a better healthier adult.

I use it myself at nighttime because I've messed up so many times in my life by waking up during the night and eating badly half asleep and then waking up in the morning and being like, oh crap. Small update; when I first started lipovantage , my pants size was 38 with one notch in my belt, which was snug. Today as of 2.5 weeks into lipovantage had to get new pair of pants on my days off and surprisingly fiy into a size 34 with some wiggle room. Went with tapered athletic cut jeans; my pant size has not been this small in over 7 years. Waist wise I went from 40.7 inch down to a 39.8 inch in those 2.5 weeks.

Some similar ingredients to IF ThermoAmP, which is another great stim-free fat burner and one that I really like.
However, I can’t stomach Forskolin whatsoever.

@sns8778 bro, we may have already talked about this and I may just suck and have forgotten your answer, but of all your products across all your lines, what is your favorite / most effective fat burner or fat burning stack / combo. (obviously if diet, training, and cardio are in check)

I tend to like Mitoburn and Paradoxine as stand-alone and especially when paired with Recomp20. So I recommend to a lot of folks to get Recomp20 / Mitoburn / Paradoxine, and the feedback has been extraordinarily positive. Is there a better combo meal in your eyes?

Recomp20, GlycoPhase, and GlucoVantage XT are great and I don't think of them strictly for fat loss. I use GlucoVantage XT year round and GlycoPhase most of the time, and I've been doing Recomp20 since July.

For fat loss, Lean Edge is my #1 choice because it burns fat in so many different ways, so that's my foundation product personally when my emphasis is on fat loss.

Then for #2, I suggest stacking LipoVantage &/or Thermo Scorch with it.

Earlier this year, before I could start back working out and wasn't able to do any physical activity, I had cleaned my diet up some, not even what you would probably consider dieting and I lost 40 lbs. between February and June, which I was very pleased with being that I couldn't do any cardio or train at all bc of my leg. My stack during that time was Lean Edge, Thermo Scorch, LipoVantage, GlucoVantage XT, and Reduce XT.

Last week, I changed my emphasis from building to trying to do a quick cut the next 4 to 6 weeks and I'm doing:
- Lean Edge - 2 caps 3x per day
- Thermo Scorch - 3 caps first thing in morning
- LipoVantage - 3 caps at night
- Reduce XT - 1 cap 3x per day (with the Lean Edge doses)

The reason that I take LipoVantage at night is because its incredible for appetite control and helping with nighttime cravings and that's when my appetite is the worst. And I've screwed my diet up so many times by waking up in the middle of the night and eating something I shouldn't while I'm half asleep.

I have been fluctuating between 174 and 177. Today I weighed in at 167. I haven't done any serious cardio in the last month since I have been using this product. I may be losing too much weight, but my goal is a consistent 165. Since I began getting back into fitness around October, I went from 205 - 208 to now 167. All the while only using sns and and Cel products while keeping things in check. I have about 1 week left of the Lipovantage. looking forward to trying to build some lean mass from a position of being thin and more fit than I have been in years. This has been a good product and I didn't even do cardio. The only cardio was during weight training and getting busy with the wife haha.
