Cardio on cycle

So I'm currently taking some dymethazine which is a methylated oral anabolic which will certainly effect my cholesterol negatively. To counteract that effect as much as I can, I am taking lots of fish oil, using a cycle support supplement and have also increased my cardio. I do HIIT training getting my heart rate up to 170, then walk until it falls to 150 and then run it up to 170 again for 15 minutes 4 times a week. What do you guys think about cardio on cycle? Makes a difference heart wise or am I wasting my time. Thanks

I think you would reap better rewards at a lower HR for longer periods of time. Imo 15mins and only 4 Days a week is a waste. I’d think a min of 25mins a day would be nice if improving cardiorespiratory health is the goal.

Correct-with respect to aerobic/cardio health, it is necessary to do at least 20 min at 80% max HR

Yep, as above. 30 mins LISS cardio 4-5 times a week is ideal. I’ve monitored blood pressure on cycle and this does a great job of keeping it in order.

So it's better to do low intensity cardio four to five times a week for 30 minutes? I thought high intensity interval training was the best type of cardio for heart health

Not as far as I know bro. HIIT for body composition is often cited (although I personally think low intensity has its place here too) and low intensity steady state for cardiovascular health

So tonight I am going to the gym and after I lift I'll do 30 minutes of low intensity cardio. What should my target heart rate be? 150?

I have not seen studies on what I am about to post, but I have seen posts on other boards about this and in theory, it makes sense.

On cycle, your muscle mass is going to increase. Your heart is a muscle. The argument I have seen is that a combination of steroids, PH, SARMS, etc. and HITT can increase the size of the heart, which you want to avoid. Again, I have no studies to back that, just posts from others and it does make sense.

I would opt for 20-30 minutes a few times a week LISS.

I just got a nice Diamondback spin cycle for home when I can't make it to the gym. These other guys seem to know about proper cardio HR than me... but I usually keep it around 65%-75% for 30 minutes and have noticed a good deal of fat loss.

You work hard on all the "exterior muscles"....why neglect the most important one...the heart.....

Since starting this thread I have been doing LISS cardio daily after my lifting sessions for 30 minutes. My maximum heart rate is around 190 so according to the little chart thingy, 80% of that is around 150-155. I keep my heart rate at 150 for 30 minutes, have a good sweat and feel pretty refreshed. Then I go home and gorge on dinner

You should stack with cardarine if you’re worried about cholesterol
