Cardio for the powerlifter

What do you all do for cardio? Bike? Farmer carries? What about boxing? Does it matter what type?

The type doesn't matter, go run, swim, biking, do strongman stuff or what ever you like. I do everything those I mentioned and those have helped me feel better, to be in better shape and recover faster because I have better condition. No need to be fat and lazy, start easy and find your own way to do "cardio". And remember to laugh those who say "everything over 5 reps is cardio".
 
Short rests and high volume on accessory work, and short sprints sprints (1:1 sprint to fast walk).

I don't do any long distance stuff.

Exactly what he said. Long distance will work against your powerlifting. Supersets have worked pretty good for me. And sprinting is excellent if it's not me sprinting
 
Anything over 8 reps.
 
I have been doing explosive work for conditioning lately. Prowler push/ explosive pulls (not drags) tire flips etc

How is long distance work going to work against powerlifting?

I'd highly suggest some sort of cardiovascular work. Type, duration, and modality will come down to how it fits with the rest of your training and current training cycle (and how serious you are about your training).
 
ok. Not against powerlifting and I don't know his wo routine, stats, or goals but I would recommend not long distance (my personal opinion from experience) even with a caloric surplus and much longer recovery time.
 
Farmer walks are a great way to build strength and get some cardio. Grab a dumbbell and do a lap or two around the gym. Also, a little jump rope now and then is a great way to get some cardio in and keep some athleticism. And last, a couple of laps in the pool are a great way to both get some cardio and stretch the muscles out.
