Cardarine log

Hi
Not many logs for cardarine, so thought I'd document my progress here

Background, I lifted a great deal in my 20s, competed in powerlifting, then had a family kids etc so around 10 years sedentary. Started lifting again around Easter this year and did 531. Gained most of my muscle back pretty quickly actually.

I always had issue gaining weight, so was happy to see the scale climbing well during this time. Then I measured my waist one day and it was close to 40" lol, so I'd become megafatso

I am 5'6, and my heaviest was 79kg. Who knows what percentage body fat, maybe 25%. So I immediately started dieting hard, doing Lyle McDonald rapid fat loss diet

This is 150g protein, from lean protein like chicken breast or similar, some non starch vegetables and that's it, maybe 800kcal daily. I changed my training to DoggCrapp training just doing a single straight set, no rest pause, as this is fine for muscle maintenance

This week was the end of the 6th week, start of the 7th week. I have lost 10kg so far and am maybe 12-15%. So I am 69kg now.

Still doing DC training, actually getting stronger despite 800kcal daily lmao, and this week started 20mg cardarine per day.

Also, I have a family event each Wednesday with extended family, so in the interest of charity I eat normally that evening, and I focus on just eating as much rice as possible, so accidental carb cycling built in haha

So 800kcal daily, DC training, 20mg cardarine
More to come

So, first week of cardarine completed, well 6 days

First thing I noticed, I had to cycle into work one day instead of taking the car, and I am basically sedentary individual when it comes to cardio hahaha, yeah I can lift weights but I am no tour de France individual

I cycled in and back again and on the way back I noticed that I was breathing through my nose the entire time, not even laboured breathing, just like I was on the couch, even though the burn was in my legs still. This was absolutely crazy honestly

Lifts in gym still going up which is nice. I took some photos which I will edit and then post up. I still look at absolute fattest a physique athlete should ever be, probably even fatter, even after 7 weeks of 800kcal daily. Let this be a lesson to you all on getting to fat and letting the fat cells invade your brain, making you think the gains are "muscle" haha

End of the 3rd week of cardarine, 9th week of dieting on PSMF, around 800kcal

This week on Friday I had to eat out with my family due to Halloween, I had fish and chips and just left it at that and got my protein in via powder. Tonight also is my works end of year function so will be eating and drinking at that also

Main thing, I will still be in a deficit for the week, maybe even still the days.

Abs starting to show through finally, this week was fairly low motivation as not seeing much changes, but am now and am actually 0.8kg down again for the week.

Strength is still going up every session in the gym somehow lol. I guess when it comes to gaining again I should keep this style of training instead of hammering out the barbell lifts for volume.

I hope that by the end of November I will be done with this dieting down as I'm starting to get over it. Lesson learned don't get fat as fatass

End of the 4th week on Cardarine, 10th week PSMF
Got bloodwork done, lipids were in the bin and I was taking 20mg ostarine per day. I have stopped taking this and have replaced it with testosterone instead.

Interestingly enough triglycerides were on the high end of normal at 1.2mmol/l which does show that they are circulating the bloodstream for use for energy. Fasting glucose was crushed at 3.6mmol/l so this really is the perfect fat burning scenario

LDL was 4.7mmol/L despite a zero saturated fat intake in 9 weeks, likely due to the massive fat loss occurring. Lyle McDonald stated there could be a 100% instead in LDL during the first 12 weeks.

I will add fasted cardio in the morning instead of just relying on metabolic calorie burn

I took some pictures but I was a watery mess so I'll take some better ones this week coming.

Fat loss has been acceptable, I do need to increase expenditure a bit of I am to get to my goal in these next 4 weeks. My average weight loss was 2.2kg and total range was negative 4.7kg in the last 4 weeks.

I think a lot of people don’t realize or they underestimate how much Osterine can crash lipids. Smart move switching to Testosterone, and good job on your weight loss so far.👍

8 weeks all completed
I will keep the log going to document how things change now cardarine is removed

No dramatic fat loss changes, especially considering I was on a PSMF. However I can confirm that glycogen did not really deplete during this experiment. It was very good at glycogen sparing and I was able to keep getting stronger every workout.

4 days after dropping it I had quickly burned through all my glycogen and got a 30% drop off and so carb loaded that day. I was doing once a week carb loads before and had stretched it out to 10 days a few times without problems

Yes, Ostarine is complete junk and I don’t understand why anyone would use it?! Good job OP for stopping it and starting Test.
