Carbo gain vomit odour

So I recently bought an 8lbs of carbo gain, when I unwrapped it, the cap wasn't correctly installed. It smells like vomit, I still tried it and had no problems with it, even though I have to mix it with something with a strong taste. Should I contact the seller or is it juste the product that always smell like that?

Absolutely! I wouldn't even have tried it without calling the company first. If I have any doubts or questions on any product, the phone is in my hand.
