carb calories from milk?

lifted

Well-known member
can u guys help me out on this one? each cup of whole milk has 10-12grams of carbs. im guessing these are from lactose? not sure......anyhow, when using milk, can i count those 10-12 grams towards my daily carb intake? ie, can my body use them or are they just empty calories?

any info would be great, thx.

lactose, sugar calories, definitely count them.

although, I DO believe their GI is somewhere around the low 30's... could be wrong. there's a chain around here that sells concentrated skim, more expensive at about 3.00/gallon but has 15g protein and still just 10g carbs per cup, and tastes really fucking good. but then, I'm a milkaholic :(

step 1. take the udder out of your mouth

step 2. admit that u are a milksucking calf in the flesh.
step 3. believe in a higher protein powder.
step 4. for all the people who u have screwed over by stealing their kids' morning cereal milk, ask for forgiveness and ye shall be forgiven.

hehe.............?

It does if its whole milk. The lower the fat, the lower the II. But skim milk also has a slighly higher GI but nothing drastic.
