Do you live anywhere near a dragstrip. They will know where to get it. Or phone a hotrod shop and tell them you need methanol.they will point you in the right direction. Very easy and very pure....  Hope that helps.. Talk to ya..

i found it thanks for the help guys!!!

also is methanol = denatured alcohol??? i found this at several hardware stores and it was real cheap

Denatured alcohol usually refers to methylated spirits, which isn't the same thing.
(methylated spirits stinks to high heaven, and is usually coloured purple)

...........and don't forget, methanol will blind you as many have found out the hard way.

How does this occur? Drinking it? injecting it? Could you give us some more details so we won't go blind!

Is Methanol Poisonous?

Yes. As with many other fuels, methanol can be highly toxic and should never be taken orally. A few teaspoons of methanol can cause blindness and a few tablespoons can be fatal, if the exposure is not treated.

It should be noted that the human body can metabolize and eliminate low concentrations of methanol with no ill effects.
(Methanol is present in many cooked vegetables, and the artificial sweetener in diet soft drinks breaks down into methanol
during digestion.) Methanol becomes poisonous only when it overwhelms the body's capacity to remove it. Toxic effects do not
occur until several hours after exposure. Effective antidotes to methanol poisoning are readily available and can be administered
during this interim period.
