For immediate release

Health Canada advises consumers not to use unauthorized products containing anabolic steroids
OTTAWA - Health Canada is advising consumers not to use five products containing illegal anabolic steroids, as they can potentially cause serious health issues such as liver disorders and heart problems.

The five products are: Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol, Methyl-1-P, Ergomax LMG, Prostanozoland, and FiniGenX Magnum Liquid. They are not authorized for sale in Canada as either drugs or natural health products.

Canadians using any of these products or any other supplements containing anabolic steroids are advised to stop taking these products immediately and consult with a health care professional.

Anabolic steroids and their derivatives are controlled substances in Canada under Schedule IV of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. These products are available illegally over the Internet. Small amounts of Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol, being imported for personal use, were recently intercepted at the Canada-U.S. border.

There are serious health risks associated with the use of anabolic steroids including heart attacks, strokes, reduced fertility, hardening of the arteries, liver damage, masculinization of women, and enlargement or tenderness of male breasts or nipples. To date, no Canadian adverse reactions associated with the use of these products have been reported to Health Canada.

Health Canada is also warning consumers to be cautious regarding the purchase of health products over the Internet or from outside of Canada, as these products may not have been assessed to the same standards as products approved for sale on the Canadian market. Authorized drug products will bear either an eight-digit Drug Identification Number (DIN), a Natural Product Number (NPN), or a Homeopathic Drug Number (DIN-HM). This authorization indicates that the products have been assessed by Health Canada for safety, effectiveness and quality.

On February 6, 2006, Health Canada issued a warning for a similar product, M1T (methyl-1-testosterone) Andro Technologies. To date, Health Canada has received one serious adverse reaction report of liver toxicity involving M1T (methyl-1-testosterone) Andro Technologies as a suspected agent.

Canadians are advised to contact the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate at 1-800-267-9675 if they find Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol, Methyl-1-P, Ergomax LMG, Prostanozoland, FiniGenX Magnum Liquid, M1T (methyl-1-testosterone) Andro Technologies or any other products containing anabolic steroids on the Canadian market.

Consumers and health care professionals are encouraged to report any adverse reaction suspected as being associated with anabolic steroid use by contacting the Canadian Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Program (CADRMP) of Health Canada by one of the following methods:

Toll-free telephone at 1-866-234-2345 or by toll-free fax at 1-866-678-6789.

I remember Poobah mentioning something about Cissus being controlled in Canada and he was pretty pissed about it.. I'll try and dig up the exact info.

Close..

But actually It was the cAMP that did me in.

Oddly enough I ordered 5 bottles of cissus at the time, and they were kind enough to throw in a bottle or 2 of cAMP absolutely free.

Turns out that one of the main ingredients of cAMP. FORSKOLIN is no longer allowed in canada, and is on a level 2 recall (or something to that effect).

I was able to get the package shipped back to the sender.. and I just turned around and ordered 1kg of 20:1 extract out of china that seems to work just as well.

Is this a recent occurrence? What possible reason could there be for forskolin not being allowed here?

I don't have the letter handy, but I'm certain it made mention of headaches.

I have never had a problem with Canadian customs. So far I have had Superdrol, PP, Rebound XT, DHEA, Nolva and Retain shipped across the border. I used UPS everytime with the exception of my Superdrol order being shiped via Fedex. The superdrol package was actually opened but they didn't seem to have a problem with it.

I was a little worried about my Nolva order from Lion Nutrition but when I got the package it was wrapped up in 2 seperate boxes with hard to rip packaging material. And the outside of the package read 'vitimans'

Most of the stuff I ordered was from Island Suppliments...those guys are the best (especially Yancy) I usually get my order in just 4-5 days.

I wonder if they want people to write who DONT get any adverse side effects. Something tells me any communications of this sort will be analagous to talking to a ostrich with its head in the sand.

Anyone had any problems getting Halodrol or Phera-plex up here lately? I know they're not on the banned substance list (yet) but it's the part about "...and their derivatives" (Schedule IV, Item 23) that may be a cause for concern.

Apparently anything coming from bb'ing.com and 1fart/bulknuts has a high chance of being inspected by C0ckstums Canada.
Also "vitamins" being shipped through USPS (Expresspost) are high risk also.
Make what you will of that.

Oh my gawd, not headaches!!!! I think based on that Canadian customs should be disbanded, as I can't even begin to count the number of headaches I've had induced by that agency!

I think PP is too far, structurally, from test to fall under that section (unless there's another possible compound I'm missing here) . If PP had that hydroxy still intact, it'd be M2-T. Then it would be one step away (isomer) from 2 controlled substances (M1-T; M4-T). But, at 2 chemical structure steps away, I don't think that salts, esters, etc. ****, would hold any water. But then again, as with many govt controlled entities, customs lives in their own mysterious world.

Hi I'm new to the forum but as a bodybuilder from Montreal was wondering if any of my fellow Canadians have ever heard of anyone being charged by the RCMP for purchasing small amounts of PH/PS products for personal use from our southern neighbors? I know Customs typically seizes some stuff so that's always a risk but was more concerned this would end up on my record if I was unlucky enough to have this happen. I'm interested in trying some of the designers that are still available but am unable to find them around town. my only option is to buy from an online retailer. would love to hear from guys like Mulletsoldier, Max Silver, etc. thanks boys

As long as your order is deemed 'for personal use' I don't think that they can charge you with anything; they will simply confiscate it as an unauthorized substance. Posession of PH/PS is not an offense but selling them could be. If you are concerned about the details then you should get legal advice.

While this thread has been bumped I will add that from my experience there is little rhyme or reason to what gets checked/confiscated.

While in the US where products seem to be available until they are banned, the opposite seems to hold in Canada. Until a product is 'approved' there will be justification for seizing it.

Additionally Canada customs has a lot of discretion of what they can do. A friend had a halide light fixture designed for aquarium use shipped from the US. It was refused because customs arbitrarily decided it was for a grow op.

I lost 400$ in an order it had, pheraplex2 retain x2 pctx2 rebound xtx2 rampagex2 prostanx2 man what a pain in the azz and living in b.c all my orders go through vancouver. I need a guy in eastern can to order for me lol.

I've been lucky i've received 3 bottles of Femara and 3 bottles of Nolvadex liquid just fine. I did order from bb.com before but the shipping took FOREVER and they snagged my order at the border for like 4 weeks, plus the shipping cost me an arm and a leg, i can't stand bb.com. How is nutraplanet and islandsupplements for shipping to canada? I like island's prices.

Im 1 for 2 with island, 1 for 1 with nutrplanet. Both are great companies. Im sticking with nutraplanet from now on though.

Nutraplanet is awesome for shipping into Canada. Mind you I don't order alot of stuff that's definitely not allowed here, but I've never had an order stopped that I made through them.

Ya i would only be ordering stuff that isn't sold here because the company doesn't sell in Canada yet. Like USP labs, ALRI etc. I do wanna order some bulk hormones in the future though in powder form i mean, i hope that stuff get's through. The superdrol thing though i mean come on guys, they had a whole write up about Anabolic Extreme and Legal gear. You shoulda ordered the clones.

I find that you are much better off ordering supplements from the US rather than purchase in Canada. Canadian retailers tend to charge an astronomical markup on stuff here. For example, I can buy 2 bottles of sesamin for $35US at Nutraplanet, but to buy it in a local store it's $60 for one!! bottle. Online from Canadian retailers it still runs $50. Once retailers here stop gouging consumers I'll be more inclined to send more of my business their way.

max i was entirely too happy to give my money to local stores until i started checking out online sources, you hit the nail on the head about gouging.

Same here! There is no reason to double the price. A Bottle of AMP costs almost 70$ after taxes. Even after you find the best prices the markup is crazy.

Nutraplanet is pretty good on the shipping, Sam is very reliable and ships very fast. I have gotten everything I have ordered through but have waited upto 40 days with a minumum of 10, and the 10 day was a legal, non-controlled whatsoever product.

I have never heard of anyone getting formally charged for buying these products for personal use.

I believe it is legal to possess just not too distribute. Reasons to "mess" with SDrol can be found here

People seem to believe or assume that because it was once sold legally it must not be as effective.

I am on a super PP cycle right now to get some gains on b4 i start a trans test cycle for awhile and it is alright but i dunno i would rather go with tbol than super. JMO.

I wish i lived in Can just for your AS laws

Got a letter from the R.C.M.P.

-----------------------------------------------------------

About a month or so ago I order some M1T to Canada and heres what the letter said.

M, Stockley

Recently a parcel for which you were the recipient was intercepted ans seized by Canada Customs. The shipper was: Unlimited, 1332 plaza drive, Burlington NC

The parcel contained the following substances

120 pills of Methyl1-Testoterone

This importation is illegal and constitutes an offence under section 6 (1) of the controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Because of this, Canada Customs turned over the merchandise to the R.C.M.P. for investigation. However it has been determined that we will not seek prosecution for the first shipment, as hereunder described.

Be advise that your personal data is now part of our records and any futher inportation of similar merchandise will not be tolerated and will be delt with as per article 6 of the above mentioned law.

I found the above post on another site. Admittedly, it was written in early 2004 but have any other Canadian brothers had this misfortune fall on them? It is a little concerning considering I just placed an order for some, shall we say, controversial supps from our southern neighbors.

Hey Somewhatgifted, the letter wasn't sent to me. i just found it on another site and was wondering if this course of action was the exception, or typical of canada customs.

Glad you didn't get a letter like that one bro! If you don't mind, could you tell me what you had in your order that caused it to be seized? I have some superdrol and PP clones on the way and am starting to get a little concerned.

Big old Bump!

Any1 had any problems with the customs? I have my s-drol clone, cycle support, PCT everything on its way to Canada!
