can Jacked cause weight loss?

I have been bulking up for the last 10 weeks and had gone from 67kg to 75kg in this time. However I started taking Jacked about 2 weeks ago and have noticed that my weight has been going down again, i now weigh 73kg.

Now I did start taking antidepressants about 2 weeks ago as well, and I know that these can cause weight loss, however a freind at the gym who I originally mentioned Jacked to, told me that he has stopped taking it because he has been losing weight on it.

I am trying to bulk up and I am eating a lot, just like before, so is this common? I am using the old version of Jacked, not Jack3d.

thats gonna come down a lot more to diet than jacked alone..

eating a lot is usually the first thing that comes from somebody who doesn't know what they're doing with their diet. but yes i see how jacked could do that. it raises ur metabolism because geranium extract gives u quite a boost. and with the extra endurance you're probably working out harder and longer which would burn even more calories. it seems it could have some effect u just have to compensate by eating a little more.

my diet has remained exactly the same during the last 3 months, and i have gone from 67kg to 75kg and when back down to 73kg without changing my diet so no my diet did not cause the weight loss. But ye your other points make sense, i'll just have to eat a little more then.

Just noticed in another Jack3d thread that it can supress your appetite and assist with weight loss. I get the impression that Jacked is great for people who have a little bit of extra fat they dont mind losing but not so good for skinny ectomorphs like me.

Think i'll try another pre-workout supp instead for my bulking phase and then come back to the jacked when im trying to cut :/

you should think less about weight and more about appearance. if you weigh less but look better on jacked, whats the problem?

easier said than done for somebody who has never been all that big. i graduated highschool at 135lbs and like 6' tall. worked out got up to about 155 stopped for a while and now am about 190lbs. granted if i start getting "fat" i have to check it down a little but when you've been small putting on weight take a lot of importance in working out

That is your problem, if you have increased in weight then your maintanence calories have also increased, eat more!

That would be the perspective of someone who is 200lbs+ and 15%BF+. For someone like me who is 160lb and 7%BF I need to gain all the weight I can. I want to bulk up and gain size and then cut down and get ripped later. Im not gonna get muscle fast if im 7%BF and still losing weight.

ye ok true but eating my maintenance calories would maintain my weight, it shouldnt be going down.

I agree but if you have grown to a level where what you are eating now is not enough to maintain your current weight then you would be loosing weight, the jacked could also be helping you get through workouts which would make the issue worse, hence why you think jacked is the problem, why dont you try stepping up your calories for a bit and see how it works, say add 400 for now? you can always adjust it accordingly :)

Ye I see what you mean, well im gonna go for a cutting phase now anyway until my body gets used to the SSRIs. Then in a couple of weeks will start the bulking again and try adding some more calories.

Thanks for all advice.

i think the stims in jack3d could cause water weight loss, especially if your using above two scoops. about 30 minutes after i take it im flowing like a river. but its one of the best pre workouts i ever used.

My two cents.. Did you lose power in the gym???/ If not then no worry...

I understand where youre coming from. i weigh about 200 right now, and ive always been larger and i have that perspective, but the fear of being too light has always prevented me from getting as lean as i wanted...but were i in your position, i would rather weigh 160 with either a lower body fat, or less subcutaneous water then i would 165 with the additional fat or water. that is just my perspective though.
