Can I use Dipentene instead of D-limonene

Brew gurus, I have access only to Dipentene which is a mix of D-limonene and L-limonene. can I use it? why is the D-isomer used?

I told you why. It is a good solvent. As for why L is not used, I think it is used as mainly a perfume.

So youre saying that the mixture is not a good solvent? the reason Im interested is that I can only obtain the mixture
