Has anyone here had any experience with doing high volume calisthenics in the morning and then lifting iron in the evenings?

I'm mainly interested in doing as a way of raising my energy expenditure and promoting recovery through pumping the muscles full of blood

I do something kind of like that. I work 13 hours 3 days in a row so on the first day of work, after my shift is over whatever muscle group I did the day before I do exercises with TRX bands on that same group. Just to bring in blood and it does speed recovery.

I can't comment on doing it each day in that fashion though.
