Calcuim Casienate thickness?

goyard

Banned
I mixed it with 8oz of milk and I swear, I can use it for paste. Is it always this way? taste is descent but the thickness is going too kill me. I had too throw it away, no, not the whole container, just the one serving. I am going too have too figure something else out. Any ideas?

Never used CC but have used Micellar Casein before thats pretty much how they are, very thick. I used to mix 50/50 Whey and MC so it wasnt so thick.

Maybe use half milk, half water?

I really don't know of anything else you could do except dilute it more.

As an aside, I use their milk protein isolate and it isn't too thick. It's 80% casein, 20% whey, so you might consider trying that next time you order.

Of course calcium caseinate is thick, especially if mixed with milk. (I assume you are using skim/fat-free, otherwise it would be even more thick.)

I always mix casein proteins with water. The product itself provides enough texture to not be nasty and using water alone keeps it from clotting up or being too thick.

The thickness of Calcuim Casienate is inevitable from what I have tried. I think its the reason a lot of the big supplement companies dont sell it straight up. They tend to mix in whey to make it mix easier (i.e. ON Complete Protein Diet).
