Bulking critique

So the typical bulking proportions are 50% carbs, 25% protein, and 25% fats right?
So if I'm 150 pounds, and I've been eating about 1800 calories a day I should go up to around 2200. So 1100 calories from carbs, 550 calories from protein, and 550 from fats. Does that sound right to y'all? Or how should I go about it differently.

heres how you should thinnk about it because youre overanalyzing and that leads to obsessing and insanity.
1) find out your bmr
2) eat 500 cals above your bmr
3) eat ENOUGH protein. 1g/lb of lbm is more than enough
4) count calories and protein daily, dont worry about counting fat or carbs right now

simple as that

Write down everything you eat, you will be surprised at how many cals you DON'T eat

This. So. Freaking. Right. Literally some of the best advice you can get as simple as it is lol. Cant tell you how many days i (used to) would stuff all day and feel accomplished but then when i crunched the numbers i was like 1000 under bmr!!! Sucked.

Alpine, how much would you suggest?

I've been getting between 175 and 200g of protein. It's hard for me to get more cause I'm in college dorms and can't really cook anything. Yeah I've found that without writing stuff down I'd only get about half of what i need.

I eat a lot of PB to keep up with calorie needs

get a phone app to track your cals

I use myfitnesspal also.

I downloaded myfitnesspal and that has been working pretty well

go to their website and login, it'll have all your information you have entered on the app

click on goals, change goals, custom-from there it will let you change your macro ratios and it will sync to your phone

mine says to eat 80g of protein 500carbs and 150 fat or some bull**** until I did what I said above

I personally like 40C/30P/30F but everyone is different
