should last several years if stored in a dark, dry, cool environment.
if you aren't planning in using if for a yr or longer i would just put it into a zip lock freezer bag and throw it in the freezer.

I missed it by like 2 days, b/c I lost my credit card and was waiting for it to ship to me in the mail.

I cry myself to sleep every night as a result of this:frustrate :(
