bulk or cut?

want to compete next year and at the moment my stats are:

age: 28
height: 5'9"
weight: 190lbs
bf%: 12-14

at this stage would you guys cut down to 10% and build slowly but progressively until comp season staying lean throughout or just pack on size, maximising growth whilst trying to control bf as muchh as possible, and then take that little hit and cut harder just before comp season starts? im in two minds about which path to take for the best!
 
Next year do you mean january or like november of next year? But i would probably stil put on size and then cut when you get closer to the comp.
 
i mean around summer time. i just dont want to go to high in bf i guess but need to maximise growth

You can just kind of go with it and see how much size your putting on and then when you think you've gained enough then start your cut. What are using on your bulk and cut?
 
Bulk for 3 months then start a 16 week prep around feb....
