Bulk l-glutamine necessary?

Right now I use the following proteins from ON: 100% whey (during day) and 100% caesin (before bed). I also rake the bulk glutamine from ON 2x a day w/ 5 grams each teaspoon full.

Do you all think the bulk glutamine is necessary even with those protein powders?

Not for bodybuilding purposes, no.

I wouldn't waste your money. You get enough already, and your body can basically turn other amino's into L-glutamine as it needs it. I think its way too overrated.

^This x2. No need to spend your money on it

Bulk sugar is just as effective.

Joking aside, no, don't buy any more glutamine.

You can get Bulk D-Aspartic Acid, bulk dicreatine malate, and bulk beta alanine for about $20/month
:)

Personally, I would nix the casein protein too
agreed

Where are you from, lboston? I'm in Woburn now, from Malden. Good luck!

I am from Kentucky...Boston is my last name. Never actually been to the city Boston, but would love to go.

Glutamine got a lot of hype from Poliquin and supplement companies but it's not worth it. Some will tell you it's because you didn't mega dose it but I'd skip on it.

Does glutamine not have health benefits? Enterocytes use glutamine as their primary source of energy so perhaps it could help with nutrient absorption and utilization from the foods we eat. I am only speculating. I suppose for the question of "does it build muscle better if I already take in a lot of protein" I guess the answer is no.
