BUILT Mass Phase 1

Hey guys, first time using this website, first time purchasing a supplement like this. I am an 18 year old freshman in college and recently went to a local supplement store on campus for the first time. The manager their asked me my goals and when I told him I wanted to get bigger and stronger, he recommended that I take a product called BUILT Mass Phase 1. He also told me to buy a supplement that keeps your liver healthy called Body Shield. He insisted that this product was amazing and told me that his friend gained 15 pounds of muscle on a "more extreme" version of the supplement called "BUILT Mass Phase 4" or something. He told me that the product can have some negative effects on your liver that are "similar to drinking alcohol".

I told him that I would do some research and maybe come back and buy them. Now, after doing some research on the supplement it seems as though this supplement is a Pro Hormone and that I should also buy a PCT supplement. I've never done anything like this before and am not knowledgeable in this subject and was wondering your opinion on whether or not I should take this supplement and if yes then what else I need to do to stay healthy.

Ingredients in BUILT Mass Phase 1:
17b-hydroxy-2a, 17b-dimethyl-5a-androstan-3-one-azine 10mg

Thanks for your help

Being 18, you shouldn't be using any steroids or pro hormones. I'd look into some natural supplements right now, depending on your training history.

How long have you been lifting and what's your weight and height, things like that?

Don't buy it.
Some suggestions:
ArA (X-Gels or X-Factor)
PES AnaBeta Elite
Performax Labs AlphaMax XT
EvoMuse BMP
EvoMuse MyoSynergy Elite
Olympus Labs Tr1umph
Olympus Labs Or1gin
PES Ergonine
Performax SlinMax
Myokem Magnitropin

At 18 years old, 5'10 and 170lbs. Do yourself a favor and stick to something like an alpha max xt, and x-gels stack. That is all you'll need to get your boost.

Any time you hear ridiculous claims like this, leave the store. The manager that was speaking with you was simply pushing product, and attributing a 15 pound muslce gain to some 'supplement' is ridiculous. I would stay away from anything too extreme at your age. If you're going to venture into any supplements, I would recommend Powermax XT. This product will cover your daily ergogenic staples including creatine and betaine. Its a great product to serve as a foundation for supplementation, and it'll help to improve performance and speed recovery.

As a college freshman, don't be fooled by any gimmicky products out there. Spend a lot of time at the dining hall and the gym, study as hard as you train, and limit alcohol consumption. At your age you'll be able to pack on size by sticking to basic supplementation and eating big

This. 18 is young, and you should be able to make good progress just by training hard and eating well. You can add in some natural supplements to give you an extra edge. I'd go with just your basics (such as creatine and betaine), which you can get for about $1/day from products like PowerMax XT and Ergonine. If you still want to add more, but keep the price down, you can add soy lecithin granules for PA (Phosphatidic Aicd). ArA is also a very popular and effective natural supplement. No need to sacrifice your health or mess with your hormones at such a young age IMO.

I will go a little in the opposite and give this kid credit for coming on here and asking us. SOOOOO many kids would have heard that bs and bought it immediately. So good for you for coming on here and doing some research. That manager should be ashamed of himself. That person is a piece of sht.

Now, if you do take the advice that you seek, you'll see that this product is a bad idea right now. X-gels, Powermax XT, regular ole creatine, these are all good ideas. Also, start tracking what you eat and figure out how many calories you need and go from there. Your hormones are in a magical place right now
