Actually, neither. I just dorsiflex my foot in the air until the tibialis goes numb. I like doing banded tibia raises as well, but he hasn't called for any in this program.

Here's an example of how you could do them banded:

After 7 weeks of Meadows... I find reading your workouts even more interesting, as I have experienced most of what you are doing and understand fully. My thoughts after 7 weeks...

- The DOMS are like nothing before
- I cannot lift as much weight, due to the strict form and style
- Band work is better than expect
- I am more psyched up to lift

Glad you're enjoying it, wasme. I feel the same way and plan on sticking with Meadows' programs for a long time.

It can be hard to drop the weight at first, but a good idea if wanting to get what's intended out of the training. His #1 rule for people starting MD is actually "form has to be perfect". He does a great job describing how each movement should be done (and has videos), which is a big help.

Diet is important with this training as well (as with all training). He puts a big emphasis on peri-workout nutrition and thinks it's a huge factor in how well it works. It can be very difficult to keep up with otherwise (especially when done properly).

After the last year+, I couldn't agree more with both points.

Excellent points. The videos that both you and Meadows have been extremely helpful in perfect the techniques. Add to this his constant instruction as written in the program and continually changing things up.

I just finished 4 in a row and I must admit, I am exhausted and still have Doms from day one. So I will certainly look more into the nurtitional side of things. Thanks.

After doing program ten, I saw incredible gains, I can safely say I am much more muscular /dense than I was twelve Weeks ago. Every muscle group seems to pop more.

I'm very thankful for this great opportunity.

That's an unreal amount of weight on those meadows rows homie,

Not sure how long you been around the forums but you slightly resemble an very active retired member (not due to age) his name on here was/is UNREAL I believe. Super dense similar build just all around beast!

I' must've watched all 206 mountain dog videos today and I'm going to try occlusion training tomorrow when hitting chest.

Need to have someone wrap my arms... If no one is available what's the best way for one to do it on their upper arm with enough tension

I read through a lot of blood flow restriction training studies today

And if you follow my Facebook you'll see the ideas I have!

Been reading on BFR myself lately. Very interested and going to give it a try. What's your FB?

Bfr training seems legit. I'm doing it around my arms since it shows it helps chest growth too.

I'm doing chest n legs tomorrow. I keep changing things lol

Good to hear the videos could help. Yeah, he really coaches you through each session.

I'd definitely look into it. It makes a notable difference with both my performance and recovery.

Awesome, ace. I'm hoping to step on stage looking noticeably better overall, in 13 weeks.

Thanks brother.

I believe I remember seeing posts from Unreal or Unreal Machine. I'm not sure if that's who you meant. Either way, I think he was jacked.

You're in for a treat :). Get ready for the most intense and painful arm pump of your life...and curling with a 10-20lb bb.

I always wrap them myself. Stick one end under your arm and try to wrap it around. Once you wrap it around once, you'll be able to tighten it pretty easily. Just don't go too tight, about a 7 out of 10 on the tightness scale lol.

Yeah, I saw that on fb. Your pre sounds interesting.

Give it a shot. Make sure you try leg extensions, leg curls, and calve raises too.

It's definitely painful. I don't think I've seen anyone use it for chest before, but I haven't looked into it a ton. I typically just use it at the end of a session for 1-2 exercises (2 if training arms: 1 bicep/1 tricep). Try starting with a set of 15 or 30 and doing 3-4 more rounds of 15 with a 30 second break between each. You'll be dying to rip the wraps off lol.

I would think BFR for chest would be difficult for the wrapping part.

I'm very thankful for this great opportunity.

Haha I think you'll like it. There's enough info on there to keep you busy for a while. He's going to start updating it more frequently as well (not just once a month).

I have a GDA on the way that I'll be adding to the mix with AP. I've wanted to give it a shot for a while and finally added it to my order when restocking on intra-workout supps.

Serving Size 1 (2Caps)
Servings Per Container 90

MD's Ultimate Glucose Disposal Agent Proprietary Blend (Cinnamon Extract, Gymenema Sylvestre Extract, R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vanadyl Sulfate, Chromium Picolinate, Biotin). 1000mg

I've been vasilating about this very thing for the last few weeks. I will probably make it happen at the end of my 8 weeks on Lyle's UD2 program. I'm trying to lean out to 9-10% before making it a focus on all out gainz :)

The effects can vary somewhat, depending on the profile. Here's a brief write-up on the product that I mentioned.

"If you are in a lean gain phase, this product will allow you to stay leaner as you grow, as blood sugar levels will be regulated from the insulin mimetic effect of this product. If you are in a fat reduction phase in your program, this product will enable you to do so more efficiently by this same mechanism. Although the goal of this product is to manage glucose and subsequent rises in insulin, it also has many other health benefits such as:

1.Increased Antioxidant activity
2.Increased ability to absorb creatine
3.Sustained levels of energy as insulin spikes are controlled by all ingredients
4.Enhanced insulin sensitivity
5.Reduced absorption of sugar molecules during the digestion process in the intestines
6.Increased liver protection from free radical damage (stronger liver equals better fat burning)"

It's worth it if you like to read. There are a lot of interesting interviews and articles relating to training and nutrition, Q and A, outlines of competitor's diets/training, and some workouts. BTW I haven't forgot about your PM and have just been very busy.

I haven't put much thought into it yet, but most likely anytime that I'm going to eat a significant amount of carbs.

What's your intra consist of. Biotin IMO is best intra and post

Hydrolyzed casein, highly branched cyclic dextrin, and Modern BCAA+. I just grabbed a bunch of bulk ALCAR and will probably use some pre and in the intra drink as well. I'll most likely use the GDA (or AP, or Recompadrol when I get some) before my pre and post meals, but hadn't thought about intra.
