Haha I was gonna be "that guy" yesterday but figured I'd let someone else do it. Thank you lol

Lol. Thanks kbayne!

That thread has the process, but I've made some slight changes to the recipe. I don't use stevia or vanilla extract anymore. If the protein tastes good enough, I don't think it's needed.

Last night I used the following:

2 scoops protein
1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

That makes a pretty big bowl. You can adjust the ingredients for batch size and taste (some powders have more flavor than others in the same amount of liquid). Just taste the "mix" before you start freezing and add more powder (or milk) if needed.

Glad I saw this, recipes look awesome. I still have not tried the VMS or RVC Protean, they sound delicious though

Thanks man, they're all pretty good. Yeah, I like all of the Protean flavors.

Heads up for any CCCD Quest Bar fans; I got a box in store today for $22.

Lol. Thanks kbayne!

Breezy, could you make this with nonfat milk? And can you substitute any whey blend in there or wouldn't come out the same?

That should work. I added some 1% when I didn't have enough almond milk before. If anything, it should improve the texture and possibly taste. I'm guessing that it might take a little longer to get the consistency you want. I've used a lot of different blends and they all worked fine. Some do work better than others though.

There's only one store that currently sells them.

My brain hurts. I need this stuff and can't figure out the puzzle. Quest CCCD are truly step above the rest for me.

4/30/13

Rope Pushdown / DB alt. Curl (3 sec negative)
125x15 / 40x15
130x15 / 40x11
130x15 / 35x12
130x15 / 30x12

-The 3 sec negatives smoked my biceps. They were pretty much done after that.

Barbell Curl / Dip Machine (3 sec negative)
70x8 / 200x8
70x8 / 220x8
70x8 / 220x8
70x8 / 220x8

Decline BB Tricep Extension / Hammer Curl
70x15 / 35x15
70x15 / 30x15
70x15 / 30x15
70x15 / 25x15

-25lb plates used for slight decline

-Tri Ext ROM: nose to ¾ lockout

-I can't remember the last time I used 25lbs for hammer curls. I was keeping form very strict and at that point there was no other option lol.

Treadmill: 3.5 incline
-6 min walk/jog
-9x 30sec 5.3/30sec 9.2
-3 min jog/walk

A few supplement changes:

-I'm out of ALCAR and Agmatine 500.

-I started ABE today

-I'm back on fish oil after a couple months without it (during ArA use).

Haha they're still exclusive to the 3 letter store and Quest directly.

Another fine workout Breezy..

The are Leafs logo's being posted all over the office today, but that is ok as I have the color printer working over time and covering them with Bruins logo's... lol

Thanks wasme. It ended up being tougher than it looked on paper lol.

Haha that's great.

Solid arm day breezy :). Starting ABE today, that is very exciting news for you.

Thanks kbayne. Yup, I'm excited.

Let the hunger begin... causes a black hole in me...

I don't really notice much of a change in appetite at all. This is the first time I'll be eating under 4000 calories though (barely). OEP will have me covered either way.

Got it. Will make a trip after the softball game tonight.

5/1/13

This morning's session was one of the most painful leg workouts that I've had in a while.

Seated Leg Curl
120x8
120x8
120x8
120x8, x30 partials

-very strict form

BB Back Squat (explosive)
2 warm-up
225x6
245x6
255x6
265x6
265x6
275x6

-I warmed up until I felt my explosiveness “click”. For my working sets, I slowly added weight until I started losing the ability to fully accelerate through the entire ROM. I narrowed my stance this week, which seemed to help with my explosiveness. These felt great, especially for the lower amount of weight used.

135x50 (just cranked them out until I hit 50)

-The next goal of my session was to bring on an extreme pump, so I decided to try something that Sean had mentioned a couple weeks ago. I wasn’t too concerned with explosiveness or speed here. I ended up hitting 50 reps in ~1min 45secs.

Leg Press (escalating set)
360x10, x10 partials
450x10, x10 partials
540x10, x10 partials
630x9, x10 partials

-constant tension (no lockout) until changing weight

-This was done as one set with quick rest periods, while I added more weight. Adding the partials at each weight was a nice touch. The pump was ridiculous and I didn’t even think about trying to move for about a minute lol.

Leg Extensions / Quad stretch
130x10 (explosive/2 sec hold and squeeze at top) / 10 sec stretch
120x15 (explosive/2 sec hold and squeeze at top) / 20 sec stretch
120x20 (smooth ROM), stand up 5 sec, sit back down 120x15 partials (out of bottom) / 30 sec stretch

-These are painful. Driving your legs up and freezing/squeezing at the top for 2 seconds results in a serious burn.

-Stretch was done by resting top of foot on leg ext. pad and knee on the ground.

DB Stiff-Legged Deads
70x15
70x15

Standing Calf Raise / Dorsiflexion
10 reps, hold at top 10 sec, x3 (30 total reps) / 50
10, 10, 10 / 45

-I could barely stand when starting these and my legs began shaking uncontrollably.

Treadmill: 15 mins
incline: 7
speed: 3.7

-I had a little time to kill and HIIT wouldn't have gone very well. This finished off my calves nicely.

50 reps at 135lbs are brutal...did it a couple times during my Cube Method and literally couldn't move on to my next lift for 5 minutes...that pump.

I got to 25 I think and was out of breath. Then counted by 5's after that. Sucked. And you're the mad man that kept working out after that lol

Yeah, it started out ok lol. The pump from the escalating leg press set was actually worse and the paused leg extensions weren't much better.

When I hit 30, I realized how bad it was going to be.

Killer workout Breezy. I had a very similar workout about 1 hour ago (just got home a bit ago).

4 omega eggs
4oz roast turkey
1 spicy jalapeno chicken sausage
2 strips uncured peppered turkey bacon
1/4 cup pepper jack cheese
South African Smoke seasoning
1tbs Kerrygold "grass fed" butter (cooked eggs in it)

I didn't think that I had any shot at keeping this in one piece, considering everything I tried to pile inside...it worked lol.

It was awesome. The "spots" seen in the egg is the seasoning.

Wow that thing looks amazing. Congrats on keeping it in one piece haha.

This is one of the most amazing looking food I have ever seen.

Sick leg workout also Breezy. I can't even imagine the mark the barbell would have left on my shoulders after holding it up for 50 rep. SICK!!!

My variation to this would be 100 rep set in leg press. (Saw Steven Jackson do this on youtube) Which is a hell if a lot easier since balancing and holding barbell is not needed.

Thanks fumoney! I'll be making another one tomorrow.

Thanks again. It was definitely challenging.

I'll have to give that a try. What I did on leg press today is pretty tough as well. Not as many reps, but the weight keeps climbing.

Food looks amazing I will be trying my own version of that for sure, killer leg workout too, I come here whenever I need inspiration or drive to workout. You're always giving 110% it seems, keep it up!

Thanks man. Let me know how it goes. It's awesome if I can help motivate you in any way. I honestly can't remember the last time that I had a day when I wasn't excited to get in the gym. I'm very passionate about this lifestyle and love working hard to see what I can accomplish.

Lookin good in here bud. Just thought I'd drop by and let you know cage presses kicked my ass today lol. I've fizzled out of MD the last few weeks never really got to phase 3. Thinking about just starting over At phase 1 again. Thoughts?

Thanks boss. Haha they'll be doing the same to me tomorrow. As long as you're still interested, I don't see why not. Phase 3 is brutal and it could be rough jumping right into it.

Fine looking snack Breezy! And a great performance tonight... needed to get that first game out of the way...
