Breaks Between SARMS Cycles

This one’s for the sarms users out there. For those who just run sarms, how long of a break do you take between cycles? Do you follow the rule that many AAS users follow, that being time on + pct = time off? Or do you cycle more frequently since you’re dealing with what’s often considered far less toxic and far less suppressive compounds?

Since you are running LGD at 22 mg a day that will definetly tank your lipids, thus you will still want to follow the time on cycle pct time equals time off. Elevated lipids cause plaque to accumulate every time you do a run and this is irreversible so the more frequent somebody tanks their lipids over the years it adds up and can put you at risk for a major cardiovascular event. Unlike elevated liver enzymes that return to normal after a cycle the plaque from the lipids being tanked does not go down or reverse after a cycle. Plus lgd suppresses your test so you need time off to recover
properly unless you don’t care about ending up on trt.

What kind of results are you having? The run almost done? Thought dbol was your next run.

Okay. The run has been a pretty successful recomp. I’m up a couple pounds and look like a dropped a few percent in body fat. This is my last week. I was thinking of running tbol next but that could easily change. I’ve heard a lot of hype about s4 and I kind of want to do a cut with that.

I just found a thread from a couple years ago where a guy was saying his cholesterol was still really messed up 12 weeks after running only 5mg of lgd. That’s not good. He said he had a prior history of oral AAS use and his cholesterol normally bounces back faster. Looks like I should take at least a half year off after this. That’ll be challenging but it’ll help me save money and I gotta play it safe. I’m also in 6mg of yk11 and my BP has been high for the majority of this cycle. It’s 146/95 so that’s not too crazy but it’s a little too high.

Bump. Is there anyone else that’s like to weigh in on how long of a break is necessary between sarms only cycles? I know most you guys on here only use sarms in combination with AAS but even you guys could voice your opinion if you’d like. I appreciate any feedback. I’m trying to pin down my earliest return date.

That’s awesome losing a couple percent body fat on lgd! Do you estimate you were eating at about maintenance for your recomp?

The plaque build up takes years typically before it could potentially cause an adverse event. If your run was 12 weeks with 4 weeks pct and you wait 4 months that would be a conservative approach. Look at all these bodybuilders from the 80s who stacked hard ****, didn’t follow the time on plus pct equals time off, and didn’t run any “support” supplements. Not suggesting to be reckless, but for me the general rule of time off is what I follow. Also always take lipid support supplements while on. Lipids return to normal after cycle, but important to keep them that way for awhile hence the need for time off.

I don’t count calories and was simply eating until full but I did restrict carbs a lot. I focused on eating meat, eggs, dairy, protein shakes/bars and a little fruit for the majority of the day. Dinner time I’d add a lot of vegetables. Also, I increased cardio a lot. So I’d have to guess I was in a deficit most days. I was on 6mg of yk11 for about 5 weeks and I’m finishing up with 12mg on this last week. I believe yk is stronger than lgd by quite a bit.

I’m gonna likely go with s4 next cycle and try to cut down more. I’ll try to wait until late winter or early spring to start that. I might even add yk11 as a preworkout some days for that cycle. It seems to kick in instantly for me.

I want to try S4 too because users such as Cgkone have said it produces great results. I just couldn’t deal with the vision sides even though they are temporary. I have anxiety issues and probably would be worried it would be permanent the whole time on cycle. Don’t want to do YK because there are no human or animal studies on it so I am holding off.

I have been anxious about getting on cycle. Had to take more time off than normal because started trt and didn’t want to take anything that would interfere in getting my dose dialed in by the doctor. Due for trt bloodwork on Thursday. If all goes well this will be my last test for at least 3 months so plan on start cycling next week. Currently at 20 percent body fat. Gonna cut with Ostarine 25 mg, Rad 140 12 mg, LGD 10 mg, Epi Andro 750 mg, and my trt dose of 200 mg a week test. Have the Rad 140 and LGD dosed on the conservative low end because I am going to be running so many compounds at once that effect lipids and dont want nose bleeds from the Rad. Gonna do 8 weeks (don’t want to do 12 because will probably get my trt bloodwork in 12 weeks plus due to all the multiple compounds).

If you taper up the S4, the sides are less likely, and very manageable, at least in my experience. I ran it for 12 weeks.

Weeks 1-2 25 mg
Weeks 3-4 50 mg
Weeks 5-12 75 mg

Did you experience any vision sides at any stage if upping the dosage?

Now we have a couple users running s4 logs. Niether really complain much about the vision sides. They are more strange than bad. Here in Cali the sky was black and orange for a month anyways because the fires.
If your on TRT I would skip the RAD. At least from what I've seen its about as good as a trt dose of test. Which is perfect.....unless your already on a trt dose of test.

Look up EDTA chelation for clearing plaque from arterial walls.

I might run s4 at 60mg Monday through Friday and then skip it on the weekend and take yk11 at 12mg then. Supposedly 5 on 2 off avoids vision sides and yk kicks in instantly so I think that regimen would be effective.

With sarms I usually plan on sticking to the cycle+pct=time off rule, but I sometimes just end up cycle + a week or two time off. That is normally if I'm running only one sarms though.
