Hey, I gotta quick question especially for the morning trainers out there.

How much time should I wait between my pre-workout meal in the morning and when I start my warm up set.
My aim is to be in at the weights at 6:30am sharp. Wake up time is 5:30am.

I've heard 1 hour is recommended, but will 45 minutes suffice or even 30 minutes?

Thoughts?

Grapefruit and a shake about 30 minutes before I start .. big meal after.. Having solid food don't agree with me .. sometimes workout fasted ...

I'd say it'd be more beneficial to train fasted than eat beforehand. Your body has to use energy to process the food you put into it which takes away, or can inhibit, energy expenditure during your workout.

I think if ypu train in the morning(which i do)some bcaa's before workout but the main thing is to have a good supper the night before so theres some cals/carbs for in the morning to get though workout.I got alittle energy fasted for cardio type things but not to strong for weights. So im trying to eat a good supper and go fasted/10g x-tend 20min before as i to wake at 5:30 want to start by 6:15/6:30

Same here. Fruit and shake for me. Nothing too heavy and not completely fasted. Try this or try fasted, see which works better for you!

I used to do it fasted however couldn't get the intensity I wanted. I now do a protein why shake (ON) and half a banana about 20 minutes before my set. Works perfect for me. I then do my first big meal right after as my post workout meal.

I just started working out in the AM this week on vacation, had a big breakfast (about 7-900 cals) with my pwo 20-30 mins later and first working set about 20-30 mins after that. Felt great, I personally can't workout fasted
