Bodybuilding and Kratom use..

This may be the wrong area to post this or ask this.. so my apologies. But, here lately I’ve been using Kratom daily.

Each and every day (like most people in this forum I assume) is built around eating, training, sleeping/rest, and supplementation..

I research often about Kratom use, and really can’t find negative effects in regards to bodybuilding.. what are your thoughts?

Drugs that activate the mu-opioid receptor tend not to be the best thing for natural testosterone production. Kratom isn't nearly as bad as some of the synthetic opioids like prescription drugs, the chronic use and abuse of which can severely impair LH and testosterone production and essentially give you hypogonadism. That being said, in moderation and occasional use it can help break through pain barriers and for some and depending on the strain it can be an effective ergogenic. I probably wouldn't do it every day because it is definitely addictive and you can become physically dependent on it (and being in withdrawal is definitely not conducive to body building).
It is something that you could use safely as long as you're not using it all the time and you don't have an addictive personality and can keep it that way. It's only benefit would probably be as an ergogenic. It, and any mu-opioid drugs also mess with your cAMP pathways, usually lowering cAMP , which can be good or bad depending on your goals, but probably won't be of much consequence either way with kratom.
 
Understood. I’ve read the debates on wether Kratom acts negatively on test production.

I personally use about 5-10 g morning and night, I find it to relieve anxiety as well as act as a sort of muscle relaxer. It doesn’t give me a true sensation of bein “high.” Just like the equivalent of someone who is tired, and uses coffee throughout their day.

I’ve been using it for the last month or so, and I haven’t noticed anything negatively in regards to my physique, diet, or strength.

The only negatives I get from Kratom are decreased sex drive and a few days of feeling down if I use it for more than a few days consecutively.

I can't say for sure if it was the Kratom, the chronic pain, or the stress of the situation I was in but I was on prescribed opiates for over 6 months, wanted to ditch the harder stuff so I dropped to Kratom, a few months later I was super depressed no motivation falling apart, went and had blood work done and at 30 years old my total test was in the mid 200s, I quit the Kratom and delt with the pain and it didn't go back up, started trt now and all I good I feel great but just a heads up that if you are gonna use it I would periodically check my test levels, blood work isn't that expensive and it might save you from having to pin the rest of your life.
