Body hair reduction

I wax my chest but then when hair starts to grow again I get lots of ingrowns, some of them are really deep and I can't do much about them. My chest looks like crap full of marks.. and my skin is white it doesn't help but I don't want a tan.

I was thinkng about laser removal but can't afford it, I'm wondering if any of those home laser machines in the market are any good?
Any lotions or whatever reduces the body hair would be more than welcome.
 
No don't do home laser stuff.. its shady. There is a cream you can get from your dr that helps remove hair, or thin it to a point where you can wax it, and keep waxing it til it doesn't really return.
 
Can you remember the name of that cream? I always thought that creams wouldn't do much except perhaps for spiro cream/lotion but I never tried it.
 
You need to exfoliate well before and after waxing, and keep your skin moisturised.

Damn... I saw the title and was hoping for some miracle answers... oh well, laser surgery some day.
 
What bothers me even more than my body hair is my sensitive skin which can't handle shaving cream and a razor without getting folliculitis, bumps and razor burn.
