blood test result help?

hi need some help with blood test I got my estradiol was high and test low, never used before, I think it my estradiol has gone high because of the xenoestrogens that I have been exposed to over last 4 years due to occupation which has then lowered my test. Symptoms I have are gyno lumps, low libido, acne, no energy. Also I am only 21 I have listed lab results below

estradiol 160 pmol/L (<150)
testosterone 21 nmol/L (10-33)
free testosterone 42 pmol/L (60-130)
DHEA 2400 ng/ml (1000-4000)
LH 8 U/L (3-30)
FSH 7 U/L (3-20)
progesterone 3 nmol/L (< 3)

If I take something to lower just my estrogen will my test start to increase again?
or is it that my test is aromatizing into estrogen?
how do you find out which one is the cause?

Thanks the chemicals I work with at work, brake cleaner,strong solvents,oils,fumes
From machines which I have been told mimic estrogen, I have stopped working due to this which I started to get gyno lump and has stopped being as sore but lump still there.also I'm not overweight which I no has effect on aromatase activity I am about 10%bf work out 6 days week.I am hoping that once I lower my estrogen to around 20-25 my test should start to increase because it won't be bound by estrogen anymore but I'm not certain on what supp to take.I have also taken couple months off to see if it gets better but it hasn't.
 
K thanks I thought I read somewhere that your test won't do any good if all the androgen receptors are bound by estradiol.do you recommend that I try to lower my estrogen or use AI to stop test turning to estrogen?
 
Estrogen doesn't bind the androgen receptor. I think you need to do more research. Seeing a doctor wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Your FSH and LH are low so your brain is not telling your junk to produce test, you're shutdown. take clomid to restore your hpta, start producing test, and block your estrogen receptors. take an ai such as aromasin as you come off the clomid to prevent rebound. wait a few weeks, get blood work. repeat if needed

Meh, if it's central hypogonadism clomid won't do anything. He should just see an endocrinologist.
 
I don't understand. Why wouldn't taking an anti estrogen result in negative feedback? If his estrogen starts going down shouldn't his test start going up? Or is this way off?
 
This is complicated so I'll try to make it simple. There are a number of reasons for low T.

1) central hypogonadism. If gnrh production is downregulated at the hypothalamus, fsh/lh will be low and t will be low (which may be what is happening in this case). It's possible that clomid will up regulate the hpta, but it might not, if the problem is with the hypothalamus itself. Prolactin could also be high which would downregulate gnrh; I didn't see a prolactin level.

2) the problem could be in the pituitary which isn't releasing lh/fsh even if gnrh is high. In this case clomid will do nothing. We don't know if this is the case because we don't know gnrh levels. If gnrh is high, the problem is in the pituitary, if gnrh is low it's in the hypothalamus.

3) the problem could be in the testicle and you could be not producing t. This
isnt the case here because lh/fsh are low, not high.
 
Thanks everyone for helping appreciate it allot.I think your right about .3 I had testicles ultrasound as we'll and they said everything was fine.I will get my prolactin levels and gnhr checked also.with the hypothalamus does it down regulate gnrh if estrogen is to high?so if I get gnrh tested at it is high I can assume something is happening with pituitary and should get a MRI or can it be tested with something else?would I have to get estrogen under control for the pituitary or hypothalamus to start working properly?
 
Estrogen has nothing to do with it. It doesn't affect test at all in males. Yes test can become estrogen if it's too high but that's not an issue for you. Fat ppl do have higher estrogen due to higher aromatase in fat.

You need to address these issues to an endo who will work it up.

Testicular ultrasound just indicates you don't have a tumor and have adequate blood flow, not that the testicle is working correctly. In your case, though, I think the problem is with the hypothalamus or pit, possibly secondary to high prolactin. Prolactin can be elevated due to pituitary tumors but can be elevated for other reasons too.
