Blood from Glute Injection

Hey yall, i just had my first bad pinning experience in where i injected in the glute after some time away from the glutes. Went in and hurt a little bit more than normal but not too bad. I aspirated and it was only bubbles, but when i pulled the needle out a pretty substantial amount of blood came out.

Did i hit a vein or something? I put a band aid over it and it appears to have stopped but should i go to the hospital? I saw a youtube vid of this happening and the dude ended up in the ER?

I have had a few decent bleeders but they all stopped within a few seconds. I’ve heard stories of guys hitting the wall with there blood so I guess we are in the clear lol

Yeah i noticed i was putting weight on the glute while pinning the took the weight off halfway through, wonder if that caused it. Seems a little more of the dull pain than usual tho after pin... that usually doesnt set in until 2 days after

I had blood today. I mean what normally happens if you puncture your skin? Blood.. It's not more confusing then that.

Haha prolly just concerned because ive pinned my fair share of times and never had it happen. You guys dont seem too concerned so i prolly wont be either

You probably pierced a blood vessel. It’s pretty common, happens to me maybe 1 out of 10 pins

Blood is always common with any injection, sometimes more sometimes barely noticible. Nothing to worry about :)
