Blew out my calf muscle

:1zhelp:Yesterday, racing down my steps to get to my car, I blew out my calf muscle. Pain took me down to the floor; 'went to the ER and I did not tear the Achilles, but I did tear the calf and am now in a boot and crutches for 4-6 weeks- at least two weeks of no weight-bearing on my booted foot...the doc said he sees things like this with athletes, but the calf only with male professionals (snickering here- 'am a female novice competitor). My calves are my strongest point and even though I do not use weights with them, they are a solid 15". Am bummed- was hoping to compete in November (just got out of recovery from a bicep tenodesis/labrum repair in Jan)...

So...#1- could the use of my CJC1295 no DAC with IP cause a muscle rupture? #2- If it can't cause it, could it help heal it? I just want to get back on track ASAP and wondering if adding a dose will help the process.

THANKS!

Elevating GH can help healing. May want to look into BPC-157. Typically used for tendon/ligament repair but I wonder if it may help in your situation.

Why don't you just try some basic rehabing of the muscle first before jumping into injecting yourself with peptides. Just a suggestion.

Thnx; will need to rehab, but PT can't beginning planning that part until it heals; 4-6 weeks too long, if there's ways to help speed the process...

Get off the crutches and get a compression sleeve on it. It'll heal faster.

I used to blow my calves out all the time. A good sleeve will let you play on it, but you won't be 100% for about a month. After that keep wearing the compression for about another month and you should be good.

Even with compression sleeves you can re-snap it in the first week, so just be aware of that. Otherwise, stay on it, you'll be gtg.

I've just been reading about BPC 157. My elderly father has muscle/joint/tendon injuries all the time and I wonder if it could help him.

But, I also read it helps with ulcers, IBD, Crohn's disease and things like that. I have had to take Prilosec (omeprazole) for years for an esophageal ulcer I had, and I wonder if it could help me with that?

One thing I read though that struck me as very strange was this:

Several negative processes involving the gingival, or gums, has also been shown to be somewhat quelled by the inherent properties of BPC 157. Scientific study that has been conducted on lab rats has determined that the peptide exhibits an ability to lower the instance of fluid leakage that may occur around the teeth as a result of area inflammation. What’s more, the peptide has also been shown to reduce a process known as alveolar bone resorption, meaning that there is a lower instance of calcium being released from bone fluid and entering the bloodstream. These studies also show that these processes occur without any blood circulation alteration in healthy gingival.

What exactly does that mean? It makes your gums bleed, leaches calcium from your teeth and cause gingivitis? Or am I misunderstand?
