Blasting while on TRT

I hear ya, I had a hell of a time trying to figure out e2 levels when I started trt last year. Now that I know what I'm doing, the feeling I have is phenomenal. I've always been natural, have been lifting for nearly 15 years with awesome results. Now that I'm on trt, the thought of not being natural anymore doesn't even bother me. I feel like I deserve even better results since I've put so much of my life into bodybuilding, I guess you could say this "blast" is like a gift I'm giving myself? Haha I'm having zero negative sides, using Erase here and there, and 500mg of test per week (around 9 weeks to go), and I'm feeling great. I used to have a pretty bad temper before trt, and it got worse when I couldn't regulate my e2. But now, even on 500mg you would almost have to pay me to get mad. It's a great feeling, to have no feelings of worry, anxiety, anger, sadness, just positive all the time. And you know what? I'm eating better, eating more, and lifting harder now than I ever have in my life. I've put in a lot of hard work, now it's time for a turbo boost. :)

Awesome man, I hear that. Having been in the gym for over 20 years all natural with great results through nothing but hard work and now being on TRT for 2 years, I am still in awe at what I am accomplishing with the same gym work ethic and the extra "boost". At 38 I have taken down every PR I have ever had and there isn't a single person that can take me down in my BJJ training- which is a huge compliment mentally. Maybe at some point down the road, when I get used to feeling as good as I do, I might consider a little extra.

Low e2 = erections forget about it.
high = weak or hard for a few minutes then you're back to a noodle..

I crashed my e2 last year and let me tell I would rather have high e2 than low. Anxiety, panic attacks out of nowhere, waking up in the middle of the night scared, no concentration. It's the same symptoms that a woman gets when they go through menopause. What sucks is that it takes a few weeks to recover.

Never had those kind of feelings. Just not all super horned up like I thought I might be. Of course, having two small children may affect that to some degree!

Not yet, I'm waiting until week #5 to get tests

This is what I plan on getting tested

Total testosterone
Free testosterone
E2
full CBC (which covers a lot)

Anything else you guys think I should test? I'll probably donate blood a week after the blast.

E2 for the hell of it, liver enzymes, PSA, BUN and creatinine should about cover it. Plz post the labs, I'm really interested in the hgb and hct seeing how that's what I'm struggling with now.

If hgb is too high, they won't let you donate, happened to me...

After the blast, should I just not use any test for a week to bring my levels back down before my endo tests my blood?

I went for labs 10 days after my last shot of 250mg (200cyp/50prop) and my test number was 789. My free test was not tested. My RBC was 6.45, Hemoglobin 19.3, Hematocrit 55.2, and ALT 45. Everything else was normal. Hope this helps.

Yeah, blood pressure

Is it better to go from blast dose to TRT dose or is it better to go from blast, wait 1-2 weeks then go to TRT dose?
I guess TRT right away will just take longer for Test levels to return to normal instead of waiting?

Haven't seen but maybe a 2lb increase at this point. However, I've leaved down quite a bit.
Does that seem about right at 5 weeks in?

This thread has motivated me try a little extra. I am going bump it up from 100 ml to 350 and see how it goes. After ten weeks I will go back to 100 wait two weeks and get everything checked.

Are you trying to bring the test down as quickly as you can?

Bump on this gents?

Are you lifting hard and eating hard? I would think you should see a minimum of 5lb increase on a 400mg/week dose. I'm up 15lbs at 500mg/week, and last night my strength shot up tremendously. Instead of 3 sets of 10 on lat pull down I was doing 3 sets of 30 with the same weight. The only reason I stopped was to make sure I didn't push too hard and injure myself. This morning I woke up and just felt super solid, and my grip strength is way up. I wanted to crush something as soon as I woke up lol I feel great!

In that case stop it cold turkey for 2 weeks to lower levels then do your HRT dose.
What dosage are you running for your blast?

Well my blast is basically over now. I was 500/5 weeks, 750/3 weeks. 750 was a waste, low sex drive, lethargic, bloat, etc. My TRT is 120/week but I'm so happy around 200/week. I can't get endo bloods if my T is too high so I was thinking maybe go about 10 days off before blood work? My end almost crapped when 120 had my T @545. He said that's PLENTY high... so a bit of a disconnect there between his opinion and mine

What are the results looking like threeFs?

The results are WOW! Maxes: Bench from 275x3 to 325x2. Squats from 225x2 to 335x2. Dead lifts from 300x2 to 450x1. Pull ups sets of 8-10 easy.
I'm only 5'9" and lifting way heavier than guys at my gym over 6'.

I hear you, what day after the shot was at T @545?
10 days from 750mg is cuting it close.

Nice man. Very nice. How many pounds did you gain?

Isn't it amazing what it does to your attitude to add on that 4th plate+ to each side? Kind of walk a little taller.

My doc says "yeah you're high, but I'm ok with that number" when I'm around 1200 lol

Just curious if you guys think you were near your natural max before taking the leap to up your test? Or was it just to do?

Oh no, I will be at 200mg before the blood test. I'm really just dropping from about 200 to 120. 545ng T level was 4 days after a 120mg shot

Before trt I don't think I was at my max, just couldn't force myself to eat a buttload of food consistently. Naturally I might be able to put on around 15lbs of extra muscle, but it just wouldn't be worth the extra food needed to maintain in my opinion.

With TRT, same training but better and faster results. I definitely plateaued on all my lifts before TRT which is why I started with 2 PH cycles (never again btw)

In in week 6 and to be honest, I thought it'd be seeing much more results by now. Perhaps my expectations were to high? I'm up a couple pounds, waste size is down about an inch, strength is up a bit, but nothing profound.

No, sounds horrible

Doesn't sound right. You sure your diet and routine are supporting this?

I know the training is on point. 4 days a week, push, pull, legs routine. Weight always increasing from workout to workout, intensity is kept high, reps between 6-12 depending on the exercise.

I've been eating more than ever. I don't count calories, perhaps I should, but it's more than I normally eat to maintain my normal weight of around 185.

geez bro, I'm not sure. Maybe add some creatine. LOL

It's crazy man! May have to get on the cell-tech!!

When I first started TRT over a year ago I made some great gains on just 100mg per week--maybe my body got all it would get from higher levels? No idea!!

You gained weight and lost an inch off your waist? Sounds pretty good to me...

What does your average daily meal plan look like? I would definitely start counting calories if you're not putting on much weight.

That's what happens with minor diet changes, not running 500mgs of test. Something else is going on, likely related to not eating enough.

I agree with Lex that you probably want to start counting calories and your macros. I'm up 8-10lbs in the last 8 weeks on my bulk and no cycle.

Up about 2 pounds on my morning, in the buff, weigh in.
There's no doubt that I look better than I have I the past..just thought weight would be a bit higher.
I'm running 400mg though, not 500 like lex.

I guess you could stress about lbs on the scale. But the only lbs I worry about are on the bar

Today pumps were so intense it was almost painful on a superset leg/back day.

Also took PES enhanced, so I'm certain that aided in the pump factor.

I looked back at my log and at my lowest during this six weeks I was about 179, but 187 today after my workout. Weight dropped about 6 pounds in the beginning, then up 8 pounds since I added in some more food.

Lex asked about typically meal plan for the day...it would look something like this...

Breakfast: 2 eggs with 2 pierces organic toast and honey w/ 60 gram protein shake

Snack: Greek yogurt

Lunch: 8oz lean meat with 2-3 cups brown rice, and maybe some fruit

Afternoon: 50-60 gram protein shake with milk, banana, pb, honey (same for the one above)

Dinner: 6-8 oz chicken or lean beef w/ some type of whole wheat carb source...often a casserole of some kind that my wife makes.

Snack: peanut butter honey sandwich (or jelly) with 10-12oz milk.

There may be some occasional binges on Girl Scout cookies or Hershey's chocolate thrown in there...

Not a lot of calories in that, but I personally wouldn't change anything. That looks like a really good diet and like 3fs mentioned, if your strength is going up, who cares about weight. You aren't losing and slowly gaining, so that's good.

I agree. I could bump it up to 500mg, but I don't mind slow, steady gains in strength and sine size.

Hey guys,

Did any of you take anything besides Erase for E2 control? I have heard conflicting reports about Erase working. I've been on TRT for about a year, and when I go up even a little my E2 skyrockets, with libido loss and I get real moody. I dont have an AI prescribed because on my TRT dose it is under control. I've been really thinking about this but E2 sides me makes me think twice.

I'm just using Erase to help control e2 at 500mg/week

How you feeling my friend?

Feeling great now! The past few days until this morning I was having signs of high e2 (fatigue, depression, low sex drive, slightly sensitive nips), but that all went away after I started taking 2 erase again instead of 1 (morning and night). I've also started adding the Androgel 1.62 as of last night before bed, and as always it really helps bring my confidence and sex drive back. Kinda stopped gaining weight, might need to increase food intake a little more. Oh, and no more energy supplements until I'm finished with the blast (besides a little caffeine), they were causing my blood pressure to go way up, which never happened when using them before the blast. How is your blast going? I think I'll throw some dbol into my next blast whenever that might be, if I can find it.
